- 2251 Poipu Rd - The first portion of your lesson is spent on land learning the basics of paddling, getting up and surfing a wave. The rest of the time is in the water with your professional, fun instructor sharing tips and information on how to actually surf! A safety briefing and all gear needed is provided. Minimum age for group lessons is 8 years and maximum weight is 225 lbs.

Turn into the Ko'a Kea Resort entrance off of Po'ipu Rd. Follow the Ko'a Kea signs on your right all the way into the Valet area at the Ko'a Kea Resort (Red Salt Restaurant). Tell them you are there for a surf lesson. We are located poolside next to the Pool Bar at our Hoku Water Sports kiosk.

Great way to check off a bucket list item! - David was very easy to learn from. He provided a good explanation of the basics. Spent about 10 minutes getting oriented and practicing on land, before heading into the water. There were three in our group, and David helped each according to our need. He helped us catch waves at first, but then allowed us to try catching on our own. The whole time sharing insightful tips and further instruction to advance our understanding as well as notes for future practice. I was able to ride four waves practically to the shore. It was a highlight of our vacation. Bucket list item, check. Thanks, David!

Wonderful time!! - Dave was an amazing instructor!! He worked with each of my kids and adjusted to what they could do and felt comfortable. Great time! Highly recommend!

Would do it again! - We absolutely loved our surfing experience! David was a great instructor. He was thorough, patient and encouraging!! We had a group of 3 and it was perfect timing to rotate between the 3 of us.

Kele is the Experience! - Kele made this experience absolutely amazing. Great instructor, great vibe, had blast. We were nervous going into it, but as soon as instruction started, our worries were gone. We were in great hands.

Excellent lesson from David! - David was an excellent instructor. He showed us the techniques we needed on land and then helped us modify with helpful advice in the water after each attempt. My son and I enjoyed the lesson and were happy we booked this.

They cancel the trip on... - They cancel the trip on the last minute the because ‘The Guy can’t do it on time’ and we need to ‘request’ a refund
