Charlie, known as the Native Hawaiian Dundee, may have an English name due to European sailors, but he is an authentic native Hawaiian guide. With experience working for the D.L.N.R. in the Wildlife, Forestry, and Parks division, Charlie has extensive knowledge of nearly every trail on the island.
Charlie’s great-great-great-grandfather, Kamokunui, was appointed Konohiki (guardian, steward) in 1848 for Kalalau, Nualolo, and Miloli’i, focusing on conservation work. This heritage makes Charlie a true Hawaiian!
Your adventures are uniquely tailored and customized (within reason) to your group’s needs. This is not a one-size-fits-all experience!
You will explore a secluded Hawaiian jungle rainforest canyon and be the only tourists in this area, ensuring a truly private adventure.
Learn factual Hawaiian history and culture, including the true story of the first European contact with Captain James Cook.
