Definitely a must do! - This was so much fun and exciting, what could be better than swimming in a waterfall?! My best friend and I had a blast with our instructor Sam. He pointed out a lot of plants and sites too. We were pretty bad at kayaking but Sam helped us out and stayed close so we weren’t left behind. We swam in the waterfall for like an hour, and it was absolutely breathtaking!

50th Birthday Trip Adventures - The history and unique facts our guide shared with us along the way and the people in my group were all so kind and generous with their day ~ taking pictures of one another and sharing them, talking and laughing. To be in such a beautiful place with so many lovely people was to truly feel aloha.

Ali’i Kayaks and Khayman Rocks - Our river guide, Khayman, was energetic, knowledgeable and funny. He also kept us safe along the trip. The Wailua River is a class zero, easy row. The hike up to the falls was muddy and slippery. But we were prepared.

Fun afternoon - We had a great time on our trip. Kayaking up the river was beautiful and not too hard. The Hike was easy and our guide stopped and pointed out some interesting plants and stopped to take pictures of us along the way. He shared all the photos at the end which was nice for those without phones or cameras. The waterfall was really cool and we stopped to swim take pictures more pictures and eat a snack or lunch. I would definitely recommend.

Great trip - Great trip if you’ve never kayaked before or are just dying to see the falls. All in all, the guides were all great and the trip will be one to remember.

Be wary if LGBTQ+ - First impressions were 1/5. You get shuttled from the initial meet up point to the river. Our shuttle driver name was Kai and he was going on about pronouns and asked if we were “normal”. It gave a bigoted impression like it was inconvenient. Did not feel comfortable at all. Kayak experience however was 5/5. Mana was our actual tour guide and he was great- very informative, funny. He was also very attentive to us (I’ve never kayaked before). Kayaking to the hiking spot had calm waters but going back was fairly windy- but doable. Hike itself was easy. You only get about an hour total at the falls but still worth it because getting to swim under it is amazing.
