Great guide and a great time - K was an amazing guide. We had a small group of early risers and we brought along our 6 and 8 year old. Even though that meant we were a bit slower…K was very patient with us and we had a great time!

Great half-day adventure. - Our family of four, mom/dad and 14 yd old twins did this event. It was a great afternoon adventure with a guide who was friendly, knowledgeable and who shared lots of local information about the area as well as the island in general.
The kayaking was more tiring than what I thought it would be, but we had to fight the windy conditions. The river crossings and the hike were not difficult and a lot of fun. And it was nice to relax in the waterfall pool and eat fresh pineapple.
Have some Aleve ready afterwards because your arms/shoulders will get a good workout in the kayaks.
But this is an activity I’d encourage others to do.

Must do tour in Kauai - We loved the staff! Our guide was Thomas. Relaxing beautiful kayak up the River, we didn’t get to the waterfall because of the weather but we were reimbursed half of the cost.
Must do tour! we loved it even though we missed out on the waterfall.

Great experience - Tyler was a great guide! The kayak is about 2 miles up and 2 miles back. It’s a little harder coming back as the wind is against you. The hike is just over a mile in. The falls are beautiful, but yes, be prepared for lots of people. We were lucky to beat in the afternoon crowd and had it almost all to ourselves for about 5 minutes. Tyler gave lots of great explanations along the way of different plants and Hawaiian history.

Do it! - This was a beautiful amazing experience. I think being somewhat fit is helpful for the 2.5 mile (5 miles total) kayaking part.

Hike is much tougher than advertised - Went on trip with family. Kayak part of the trip was fun. Hike to the waterfall was like the Batman Death March. Was long and hazardous… had to cross multiple streams with slippery rocks. I unfortunately slipped and fell on one stream crossing and tore a ligament in my hip that took four months to heal. The potential problems in the hike portion of the trip should be warned about.
