Beautiful, fun, and unique! - Views of the canyon and lookout point are incredible! The bike ride is enjoyable and relatively easy being mostly downhill. Appreciated the opportunity to pick up speed during the second half. Ernesto was welcoming and exhibited confidence that made everyone feel at ease.

Views worth seeing. - The views at the top of Waimea Canyon are breathtaking. The two tour guides made this a fun and memorable experience. The bike ride down the hill requires zero effort or skill to achieve. The breeze and views whiz by and you end at the beach. I highly recommend this tour.

So much fun! - This was an amazing tour! The first part had fantastic scenery with guides that made everything fun! The bike ride was a fast ride downhill with lots of curves! It was an experience I’m so glad I had and especially glad I survived! ( I’m elderly although hard to face that!). The guides couldn’t have been better and made for a great time! Our family of 4 adults all loved it!

Age shouldn't be a deterent - Ernesto and Kiana did an exceptional job as our tour guides. They made the tour educational, fun and safe. At 72 years old, we felt very comfortable while on the tour and with our group. The photos they took and shared were amazing and so appreciated. This tour was a highlight of our week in Kauai. Thank you, Ernesto and Kiana, for a memorable experience!

Sometime cyclist - Ernesto and Kane made this trip so much fun! I'm a sometime cyclist so a tad fearful of the distance and the elevation. How they controlled a group of ten w varying experience I'll never know but wow they made safe and my fear turned into joy. Thank you two for an adventure I will never forget!

The Downhill Bike Ride is Only a Minor Part of the Tour - This activity was titled Waimea Canyon Downhill Bike Ride however, the ride was a very minor part of the tour. They claim the ride is 45-50 minutes but that includes pulling over to the side of the road to let cars pass and to take goofy dinosaur pictures. The actual riding time is 30-35 minutes and you ride down the main road that you drove up, which isn't very scenic. The tour is 4+ hours long and with 30 minutes of actual bike riding, even the tour guide was joking that he sometimes forgets that there is supposed to be bike riding on this tour. As with any tour, the experience can be hampered by who is on the tour with you. We got unlucky to have a loud and obnoxious person in our van sitting behind us and we had to listen to this person the entire time. The tour guides were nice and gave a lot of information and when there wasn't anything left to talk about, we played a trivial pursuit type game in the van. I would have almost preferred some quiet time to just look out and enjoy the scenery instead of the constant talking but others may like the constant chatter. At each of the stops they took a lot of pictures, including some pretty corny ones with dinosaurs. It was nice to see two different stops that were not the main ones you would normally go to but I feel like we stayed a bit long at these stops and for me personally, I didn't really need all of the corny pictures. I did appreciate that they gave us the pictures for free and didn't try to charge us for them. The tour time is structured so that we reach the coast right before the sunset but it was cloudy on the day we did the tour so we couldn't see the sunset at all. I think on a tropical island with lots of clouds, this would be a common occurrence. I would recommend this tour if you really don't want to drive up to Waimea canyon yourself and you want a guide and you want some extra information. I will say that the road is paved very well and it is not too difficult to drive compared to many other roads I have driven. If you like silliness and constant information and chatter than you will like this tour. I just wish they offered a tour that only included the downhill bike ride and maybe even started from the top instead of half way down the mountain and skipped all the rest of the stuff. Also, as a tip, when they ask for the people that want to go fast to come to the front during the bottom section. The single biggest factor determining how fast you go is your weight. You cannot pedal when going faster than 20MPH as they have the gear set for you and tell you not to change gears so your pedals are useless. They also tell you not to pass each other for safety reasons. Since the bottom section is a lot straighter, you only really need to brake in the turns. That means the fastest person will be the heaviest so arrange yourselves in the fast group according to weight so you don't hold others up.
