Kauai - Discover the Hawaiian Humpback Whale Season
The Hawaiian Humpback Whale Season spans from December to April each year. Our 30-foot Zodiac© rigid-hull, inflatable raft is the ideal vessel for whale encounters. The Humpback whale, an endangered species, finds its primary mating and calving grounds in Hawaii. Known as Kohala in Hawaiian, these whales travel 2,000-3,500 miles from Alaska to reach the warm waters of the Hawaiian Islands. Here, they mate and give birth to their young. - Age range is 5 years old and up
- By booking this tour, you understand the following: Viewing wildlife is NEVER guaranteed. This includes whales and dolphins. This tour does NOT include views of Na Pali Coast. The Na Pali Coast tour is a different product. This tour does NOT include snorkeling or swimming.
- By booking this tour, you understand the following: When ocean conditions are not favorable or the minimum passenger count for the safety and stability of our vessel is not met we will call, email, and or text you to provide notification of the cancellation. You will be offered the following options: Rebook your Whale Watching expedition for another date; Cancel your reservation and receive a full refund.
- We recommend booking early in your vacation in case of a weather cancellation, you have more time left in your vacation to rebook.
- Our tour departs from the west side of Kauai— We meet in Waimea at the Na Pali Riders office.
- WARNING: The Zodiac© raft makes for a wild and rough ride. Due to the nature of the Whale Watching Expedition, you must be in good physical condition to attend this tour. We cannot accommodate pregnant women, anyone with back or neck problems, medical conditions or recent surgeries.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
