During our visit, we will delve into the monastery’s history and have the chance to venerate the holy relic of St. Gregory the Theologian, which was kept in Cappadocia’s Karvali from 390 AD and brought to Greece in 1924 during the population exchange.
- Monastery Agios Sillas - Our next stop is the Holy Monastery of St. Apostle Silas, a significant religious landmark in the region. Built in 1926 after Kavala’s liberation, the monastery honors Apostle Silas, who, along with Apostle Paul, arrived in Kavala to preach Christianity, marking the first European territory to receive the message.
