Leave Kigali as early as 05h00 and drive for an estimated 3.5 hours to reach Akagera National Park by 08h30. With our local and friendly tour guide, the transport is assured with a choice 4x4 car with WIFI onboard to keep you connected with your loved ones and the world (Some spots in the park do not have connectivity). Spend the entire day through the park to depart back to Kigali late afternoon. Akagera National Park has a diversity of wildlife including buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas and many others. After a long time being extinct, the black rhinos and lions have recently been restocked. Their sighting is always not guaranteed due to their small number and the hiding character of the black rhino. Enjoy the game drive viewing the natural habitat of different animals, birds and enjoying the view of different lakes and landscape.

Amazing experience all around - Saw so many animals as soon as we entered! The guides did their absolute best and we saw 4 out of the big 5. They were so informative. The whole experience was amazing we all loved it. Wish we stayed over. Also the lunch provided is really nice

An Unforgettable Safari Adventure with Friends! - Exploring Akagera National Park with friends was an incredible experience! From the moment we entered, we were surrounded by stunning savannah landscapes and amazing wildlife. Spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and hippos up close made the trip even more exciting.

RAV-4 Akagera Safari Tour - This was an absolutely amazing experience. Bachu was the best guide we could have asked for, very knowledgeable about the park, the animals and Rwanda as a whole.
We saw 4 of the big 5 and Bachu made sure we got a good look at all of the animals we saw. The book process was very smooth and they are quick to respond. Thanks for having us!

Great Satisfaction Safari Tour - The tour was truly amazing!
We could see impalas, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hippos and wild boars! And I could see the lion twice.
Our guide, Bachou, was a professional animal spotter. He knew a lot about animals and taught me a lot about them. They also chose various paths to see many different kinds of animals.
Not only that, Bachou stopped by the local market before going to Safari, where he allowed me to interact with the locals. Also, when I mentioned that I didn't know banana beer, they even offered me banana beer as a souvenir, which was really inspiring.
I can’t tell you how wonderful the tour was.

I got to meet a lion in the wild! I recommend it to those who are unsure. - I didn't expect much at first, because a preliminary review said it was difficult to see lions only with zebras and impalas.
However, when I actually joined, my guide BACHU was amazing and I was able to see lions, zebras, impalas, monkeys, wild boars, rhinos, topi, giraffes and elephants up close. Not only that, he explained the behavior of animals in easy-to-understand English, and I think I could not have had a better experience. After explaining that a lion yawns and then gets up in a few minutes, I was quite surprised when that actually happened. It's a really fun tour for adults.
Aside from safaris, they explained Rwanda's agriculture, lifestyle and jobs, and stopped by the early morning market to explain what was for sale, which was very interesting. We even had banana beer at the end. It was undoubtedly one of the most memorable days of my trip. I am also very grateful for listening to my poor English and answering all my questions.

Even better safari experience than I imagined! - What an amazing experience! I would like to give a special shoutout to Benjamin for being a phenomal safari guide all throughout.
He went out of his way to make sure that I got to see as many animals as possible, as well as have sufficient time to snap as many cool photos as possible. Highly recommend!

Check this one off your bucket list! - What a wonderful experience! We saw all the animals we had hoped to see: lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, and more. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable with an eagle eye for animals. It was a long journey there and back from our hotel and expect to be bumped around (the African massage). Overall, an experience you should not miss.

Fantastic experience - This was a fantastic day out. Our driver (Amor?) picked us up early in Kigali and drove us to Akagera. His knowledge of the park and animals helped us see just about everything we'd hoped for.
Going around the park he pointed out everything for us before a short break for the tasty lunch with a view.
Then we continued through the park taking loads of photos of all the animals encountered. Then the bonus just as we exited the park was a black rhino with her baby just by the exit.
It all made for an unforgettable day. Highly recommended.

Great safari experience in Rwanda...saw four of the big five! - The game drive experience through Akagera National Park was amazing! I really enjoyed the day with my tour guide, Anaclet. He was so knowledgeable and personable. We got to see four of the big five as well as so many other beautiful animals and birds throughout the day. I also had great interactions with Olivier booking the tour and learned from a passionate environmentalist, Innocent, on a boat tour. I highly recommend Countryside Tours-Rwanda!

Incredible day with an amazing guide! - My daughter and I chose Countryside Tours due to the positive reviews and it did not disappoint! Jean-Claude was our guide and he was exceptional. We chose the one day tour as we were limited on time. Jean-Claude’s knowledge, patience and enthusiasm made our trip unforgettable - we would recommend this trip to anyone especially as we were lucky enough to see the Big 5 in one day. We also thoroughly enjoyed the boat trip as we saw crocodiles, hippos and many beautiful birds. Our boat driver Emmanuel deserves a special mention as he was very welcoming and fun to guide us. We definitely have no hesitation in recommending this professional tour company.
