Reykholt - You then stop at Reykholt, a highly historical site from medieval times, which is home to Icelandic Sagas.
Hraunfossar Lava Waterfall - You visit now two beautiful waterfalls: Hraunfossar and Barnafoss which just a few meters apart. While Hraunfoss waterfall is composed of trickling rivulets coming through the vegetation on a large portion of the river bed, Barnafoss or children waterfall is a powerful gust of water which emerges through a lava opening.

Deildartunguhver Thermal Spring - You stop at Deildartunguhver, Europe’s largest hot spring located in Reykjadalur or the “valley of smoke. “From a safe distance, you see massive bubbles formation in the 97°C water and feel the generated heat on your face.
Krauma - You finish the day in the geothermal waters of the Krauma Spa before heading to the campsite. Adjacent to Deildartunguhver, the facility has four pools fed with a constant and natural geothermal water flow. The site does not use chemicals to maintain its water quality as nature provides what is needed.
Snæfellsnes Peninsula and Volcanic Cave
Glanni Waterfall - You might like to take a little detour to visit the small but picturesque Glanni waterfall before heading to west. The waterfall takes its name (shinning) after the contrast created from the “whiteness” of the tumbling water against the surrounding lava rocks.
Ytri Tunga Beach - You visit this charming and seclusive beach which is among Snæfellsnes gems! Away from the touristic flow, Ytri Tunga is know for being a spot where seals come and rest every now and then.
Budakirkja - You make a short stop at Búdir church which is among the three black churches in Iceland, making it an extremely sough spot by photographers. A little further, you find Búdir hotel from where every once and a while seals can be spotted in the sea.
Gatklettur - Gatklettur or hole in the cliff, is an arch in the stone carved out by erosion. The site makes a perfect spot for fantastic pictures and it takes around 2 hours (round trip) for this visit.
Vatnshellir Cave - At 2 PM, you explore an 8000-year-old lava tube located 32 meters under the ground! This is truly a fantastic lava formation where robust flows created an anti-chamber accessible by spiral stairs. Equipped by helmet and head-light, you descend deep under the surface.
Stykkishólmur and Eldborg Crater
Svodufoss - Start the day by visiting a nice waterfall! Connecting with the tranquility of Icelandic nature, you just park in the very near-by parking lot from which you access the waterfall within minutes. Should the weather be nice with a clear sky, you might see Snæfellsnes glacier towering over the chute!
Kirkjufell Mountain - Kirkjufell is a well-known and famously photographed mountain in Iceland. Formed about 5 to 10 million years ago, its multi-layered tip gives it a unique and majestic look. Kirkjufell is paired with a near-by waterfall, kirkjufellsfoss, which you would not miss out on!
Thingvellir National Park - Þingvellir National Park is the first point of the famous Golden Circle route. This is not only a geological marvel where Öxará waterfall (or Öxarárfoss) and Silfra Fissure were born out of the continental drift, splitting the earth‘s crust at various locations but it is also an important historical and political site. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage.
Note that the park´s visit is free, however, you have to pay a Parking fee, which is not included in the tour´s price.
Golden Circle and Skógafoss Waterfall
Kerid Crater - You visit Kerid volcanic crater, which is located just 40 minutes drive away from Þingvellir National Park. The crater is approximately 3000 years old and is covered with vivid colored grounds in the summer. The crater is a lovely site in its winter coat, particularly when its inner lake catches the sunlight on frosty days.
Note that to walk up to the crater, there is a small admission fee to pay, which is not included in the tour price.
Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths - You go for a Rye Bread tour at 11.45 AM where the dough is cooked in the very ground by the geothermal heat and you can of course taste it! You then soak in the delicious warm waters of Fontana Bath from which you have panoramic view of the lake.
Geysir - You next visit Geysir where the geyser Strokkur shoots its warm water column up to 15 meters in the air. Geysir is the second point on the famous Golden Circle route that you are scheduled to visit.
Gullfoss Waterfall - You complete the Golden Circle with a visit to the mighty waterfall Gullfoss which chute impressively drops down in a narrow gorge from 32 meters high.
If you are interested, we recommend you visit Friðheimar Restaurant and Farm, famous for its horse breeding and horse show activities, and its tomato farm entirely run with geothermal energy using biological pest controls. Fridheimar is open for visits and has a restaurant where you can taste their tomatoes’ specialties.

If you choose to come here, it will take you 50 minutes, including the driving time from Gullfoss Waterfall.
Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss is a 60 meters high waterfall behind which you can walk. It is a very picturesque site and is therefore widely photographed and featured.
Note that entrance to the waterfall area is free; however, there is a parking fee you must pay, which is not included in the tour price.
Skógafoss - Next, you visit the impressive Skógafoss waterfall which is fed by the melting waters from Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. This powerful chute provides a unique experience where deafening sounds, water spray, and rainbows surround you as the light reflects on the droplets. Be ready to be amazed!
Vík and Reykjavík
Dyrholaey - Dyrhólaey or Doorhill Island is the remains of what used to be an island thousands of years ago. The promenade is a 120 meters rock formation that has a gaping hole in the middle where ships used to sail through. Today, Dyrhólaey is a top-rated site in Iceland and is home to many bird species.
Reynisfjara Beach - Next, you visit the well-renowned Reynisfjall cliff on Reynisfjara beach. The basalt columns of the cliff wall provide a unique atmosphere to the site. You may like to sit on some of them and gaze away at the three basalt rock formations standing out of the Atlantic Sea. Rumor has it that they are the remains of trolls who wanted to reach the shore but got caught by daylight, which transformed them instantly.
Lava Show - At 1.30 PM, you go at the Icelandic Lava Show where you witness and experience safely real running hot lava flowing through a mimic volcanic eruption.
Hallgrimskirkja - Hallgrimskirkja church is located close to downtown Reykjavik and the famous Rainbow Street. Should you like to have a 360° panoramic view of the whole city, we recommend going to the very top of the church.
Note that the entrance to the church is free; however, you need to pay an admission fee if you wish to walk up to the church´s tower, which is not included in the tour price.
Sky Lagoon - Right after you visit the ice museum and bar, you go at 7.00 pm to the warm geothermal waters of the Sky Lagoon! You stay for two hours in the spa enjoying the Sky Pass entrance and its 7-rituals.
Departure
Krysuvik - Depending your departure flight´s time, you might have time to visit Reykjanes Peninsula before you drop your campervan. Krýsuvík is a geothermal area on the peninsula where you witness the heat, smell and the various shades of yellow, white, red and green of the surrounding ground.
Bridge Between Continents - The Bridge bewteen two continents is a physical bridge where you can “stand” above ground between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates.
If you are interested, we recommend you visit the Viking World Museum where you can be transported to the past, at the settlement time, where you can see a life-size Viking boat stand in the facilities. The ship was built in 2000 and sailed to New York to “commemorate Leifur Eiríksson’s journey to the new world a thousand years earlier “– Viking World Museum.
