Kleifarvatn Lake - Reykjanesbær peninsula´s largest lake, Kleifarvatn, is also among Iceland´s deepest lakes with almost 100 meters in depth. The water comes from the porous lava ground around it and is home to many fishes, particularly anglers! The lake reflects Iceland´s beauty in its simplicity, with lava ground covered in many places by thousand years´ old moss.
Golden Circle and Waterfalls
Thingvellir National Park - Þingvellir National Park is one of the Golden Circle sites. This is not only a geological marvel where Öxará waterfall (or Öxarárfoss) and Silfra Fissure were born out of the continental drift, splitting the earth‘s crust at various locations but it is also an important historical and political site.
