- 50th Parallel Estate - Curtis Krouzel and Sheri-Lee Turner-Krouzel, along with their expert team, have developed a premier wine destination just 15 minutes from Kelowna airport. They produce internationally acclaimed wines and host five-star events and unique dining experiences. In 2018, they plan to unveil the next phase of the estate, which includes a new event space, a fine dining restaurant, an extensive wine cave system, and a glass ‘Transparent’ tasting room.
50th Parallel Estate has been meticulously crafted to offer an unparalleled wine destination experience.
- Arrowleaf Cellars - Arrowleaf Cellars is a family-owned and operated winery situated in the picturesque Lake Country, BC. Our winemaker, Manuel Zuppiger, trained in Switzerland and honed his skills in Australia before returning to BC to create exceptional terroir-driven wines. Arrowleaf opened its doors in spring 2003, featuring 2001 reds and 2002 whites. Our Tasting Room, designed by award-winning architect Robert Mackenzie, opened in 2014.
- Blind Tiger Vineyards - A small, family-run organic vineyard in Lake Country, British Columbia. Once an Alpaca farm, the family began planting vines on the property. In 2010, they planted their first blocks of Riesling and Gewürztraminer, later adding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The farm received its Organic Certification from the North Okanagan Organic Association in 2013. The vineyard’s philosophy is to cultivate quality vines with minimal chemical intervention. Natural compost fertilizers maintain ideal soil nutrients, sulfur controls fungus on developing grapes, and a flock of heritage chickens provides pest control.
Blind Tiger Vineyards opened to the public in 2015 during the growing and wine tourism season. “We invite you to come enjoy our dream and taste our hard work.”
- Ex Nihilo Vineyards - The story of Ex Nihilo is one of love and a shared passion for creating exceptional wines. The dream began when Decoa and Jeff Harder encountered a sculpture that inspired the name Ex Nihilo, Latin for ‘Out of Nothing.’ This was the catalyst for the winery’s creation and its rise as a premier, award-winning Okanagan Valley wine producer.
During a trip to Napa Valley in 1999, Jeff and Decoa discovered a working model replica of Ex Nihilo in San Francisco. They fell in love with the art, and Jeff declared that one day they would build a winery named ‘Ex Nihilo.’ The original sculpture by Frederick Hart adorns the west façade entrance of the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC.
- Gray Monk Estate Winery - The Heiss family moved to the Okanagan Valley from Europe via Edmonton, Alberta, with dreams of owning a successful vineyard. In 1972, George & Trudy Heiss were among the first to request permission to make and sell wine from their own grapes. This marked the beginning of the Estate Winery program, which many believe was a turning point for British Columbia wines.
- Intrigue Wines - Intrigue Wines was founded in 2008 when two families united to pursue their passion for wine.
The partnership thrives on the complementary experiences each partner brings: a winemaker, an accountant, an internet entrepreneur, and a healthcare advisor, all driven by their fascination and curiosity for wine.
- O’Rourke’s Peak Cellars - The Carrs Landing estate spans 300 acres, offering panoramic views of orchards, vineyards, rolling mountains, and the sparkling waters of Okanagan Lake. Inspired by Europe’s most renowned wineries, the property features 110 acres of vines, 300 meters of winding tunnels, and 12,000 square feet of cave space for wine storage and aging.
