An absolute must for anyone. - What an amazing informative tour. Thorougly enjoyable and we learned so much about the process and questions answered with obvious knowledge of hands on expertise. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the manor house itself was beautifully maintained beyond belief. The tastings and the delicious food were a testment to the distillery and complimented all that we had learned on our tour. We had the best time and highly recommend this experience as a must for anyone.

Friendly Service - Scrumptious Lunch - Cool Throne (Toilet) - Hubby and I visited on a Monday recently after reading about The Old Kempton Distillery in a Booklet at our accommodation & that's how we stumbled across this gem. Just a minute or two off the main highway on the way to/from Hobart and or Launceston. It was quiet as it was a Monday and Hannah and her sidekick young man expertly juggled looking after the approximate 4 groups of people partaking on that day. Hannah was an absolute delight. Because it wasn't too busy she really went the extra mile to make us feel like valued customers. We did not buy any whisky as, yes, it was expensive, but Hubby purchased some whisky glasses and we enjoyed looking around the building, using the HUGE toilet/throne and the lunch was yummy (catered for gluten free toasties for myself & hubby enjoyed his Whisky flavoured pie, followed by tea and scones with jam and cream - oink) and NOTHING was too much trouble for her. I wanted to give her a tip as the service was so excellent but she politely declined so I promised I would do this review instead. Absolutely LOVED our visit and highly recommend it. If you want a HUGE menu to pick from and don't like the idea of perhaps waiting a few minutes for a staff member to get to you when you arrive then it wont be for you, but if you are happy to go with the flow you will hopefully enjoy it as much as we did.

Worth every penny !!!! - From the tour to the one on one tasting session with the amazing staff. We walked away being blown off our feet by the amazing whiskey and gin but also being able to see the heart and soul of this distillery through their staff and products, today was one of the coolest experiences in my life. Our highlight was seeing the stills and have Hannah and Rob take us through the whole process to create the whiskey and gin. #whiskey #whiskeylife #whiskeybar #gintonic #ginlovers #whiskeylover #singlemaltwhisky #tasmania #discovertasmania #tasmaniafood #mustdotravels #mustdotasmania #holiday #holdays

Brilliant Mornings Education on Whiskey and Gin - A brilliant tour with super friendly staff and the tasting and platter for two was amazing. We learned so much more about Whiskey and Gin and then got some great product to take home from the shop. Loved hearing about the history of the building.

Lovely House - Total experience was excellent.  Young lady who gave the tour had a good knowledge of history on the property and the making of the various spirits . Tastings were well explained and enjoyed by all.  A couple of suggestions to improve the platter. Take the camembert cheese out of the fridge an hour before serving as it should room temperature. Replace the orange slices with apple or pear as both would go very well with the cheese.  Lovely house and we shall return in the summer for some music and cocktails.

History & whiskey in a beautiful location - Very informative & interesting tour of the entire distillery. Lovely grounds & beautifully maintained. Men working in the distilling building were friendly & had a lot information also. More than happy to show us the full process including the bottling & labelling which is all done by hand. Lunch & tasting was fabulous. Lovely fresh & tasty platters per person with the tasting paddle. Delicious! Very friendly guide Craig, who is a credit to the business, well spoken, helpful & knows everything we wanted to know about. Lovely lady in the shop helpful with all our questions also. Highly recommend a visit ! What a beautiful building & surrounds.

Unimpressed - Seemingly unorganised, guide hard very little knowledge, despite another experienced staff enquiring if we had questions we didn’t know what questioned to ask as we weren’t shown the process enough to know what questions to ask
