Established in 1948, Canterbury Tourist Guides Ltd is an independent firm specializing in high-quality guided walking tours in Canterbury. Our tours are recognized as the official city tours and are the singular tours with entry to the splendid Cathedral’s Grounds.
Every guide in our team carries a city Green Badge, an endorsement given after a rigorous training program and requisite evaluation conducted by the Institute of Tourist Guiding.

Please meet your Daily Walking Tour Guide in the Buttermarket, outside the main Cathedral Gate. Guides wear a red sash, and hold a placard.
Please note you may finish your tour in a different location (usually the High Street). Your Guide will be happy to direct you onwards.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Highlight of my trip - It was a really amazing tour of Canterbury, the guide (David) catered to my personal interests and I got to learn a lot about the history as well as the literature surrounding the place. He was very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend the tour to everyone.

Awesome Canterbury - Our tour guide, Jane, was phenomenal enlightening us of all the history. She was pleasant, kind and patient and very knowledgable. Her sense of humor was very entertaining…and appreciated.

Great tour! - I've done a few walking tours and this was definitely one of the best! Mark was our guide and did a fabulous job providing us with a comprehensive history of Canterbury including history, geography, religion, and politics. I appreciated the tempo he maintained - some tours go too slow but Mark kept it moving, whilst packing in the content - and that he clearly has a deep knowledge of the material. The tour included access to the exterior of Canterbury Cathedral, including the cloisters.

What’s not to like! - Found the tour with Simon really good and he was very knowledgable. Allowed the group to interact and ask questions. Think he enjoyed it too as the group was keen to learn and actually overrun a little in time. Definitely recommend, great landmarks and views around lovely Canterbury.
