Full Day Game Drive in the Mara
Mara River - Spend the entire day exploring the Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five animals. Enjoy picnic lunches in the Reserve as you take in the beauty of the Mara. Resident hippos and Nile crocodiles can be seen along the banks of the Mara River all year round. Few places have a higher concentration of wildlife than the Masai Mara, and sightings of four of the Big Five are almost guaranteed on any trip (although rhinos are harder to spot). The Mara is also one of the best reserves in the world for seeing the three big cats: leopard, lion, and cheetah. It’s no surprise that the BBC TV show Big Cat Diaries is filmed in the reserve.
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Enjoy a full day game drive in the best safari destination in the world, according to World Travel Magazine. The Masai Mara Reserve is Kenya’s most popular tourist destination, located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Visitors are almost certain to spot the Big Five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration, a spectacular event, is only seen in the Maasai Mara.
Mara to Nairobi
Mara River - After an early morning breakfast, check out and visit the Maasai Village. Then, begin the drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the city center or your hotel within the city center. No game drive is scheduled for this last day.
Ololaimutiek - This is the local area where we are staying in the Masai Mara. On this day, you have the option to visit the Maasai tribe to learn more about their culture and lifestyle for an additional cost of USD 20 per person.
