Samburu National Reserve - After an early morning pickup at 7a.m you’ll commence the drive to Samburu. You’ll have a stopover at the great rift valley view point to enjoy the view. Lunch will be at the lodge in Nakuru. In the evening after you check in depart for an evening game viewing drive in the Samburu National Reserve. Samburu is famous for the large numbers of wild animals and bird-life. It is popular for hosting the rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich. It is home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah and leopard),& other big game like elephants, warthogs, impala, water-buck and others. It is also a renowned bird watching haven, with many bird species like kingfisher, bee-eaters,guinea-fowl, yellow throated spur-fowl, lilac-breasted roller, red-billed horn bill, secretary bird, Verreaux’s eagle, superb starling and yellow-billed hornbill.The unique culture of The Samburu tribe is the icing to cake for the visit there.
