Nairobi to Masai Mara

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Begin your safari to Maasai Mara at 7 a.m. with a pick-up from your chosen accommodation or the airport. Pause at the Rift Valley viewpoint to admire the escarpments and flatlands below, a geographical formation that stretches from the top of Africa to Mozambique, formed millions of years ago. Arrive at Maasai Mara in time for lunch, followed by a 2-hour evening game drive starting at 4 p.m.

Rift Valley Province - The Rift Valley spans 6000km across the Middle East and Africa, from Jordan to Mozambique. This valley showcases a remarkable variety of topographies, including scarps, volcanoes, lakes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert landscapes, and coral reefs and islets. The breathtaking view as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya, is truly astonishing. The ground seems to vanish beneath you, extending thousands of kilometers in either direction, offering a stunning introduction to the Kenyan Rift Valley. The most incredible part of this experience is delving deeper to explore the Lake System of the Rift.

Full day game drive mara

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Embark on a full-day game drive at 7:30 a.m., with a picnic lunch by the Mara River, the site of the great wildebeest migration. Conclude the game drive and return to your lodge by 4 p.m. In the evening, spend an hour visiting a Maasai village to learn about their culture.

Mara River - Journey to the Mara River, where you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch. This river is famous for the great wildebeest migration crossing. You’ll also see numerous resident hippos and crocodiles basking on the riverbanks. The Mara is home to one of nature’s most spectacular events: the great migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebra move from the Serengeti in Tanzania in search of water and pasture, followed by predators like lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

Mara to Serengeti via Isebania border

Serengeti National Park - After a 6 a.m. breakfast, drive to the Tanzania border, arriving around midday after a 3-hour journey. Complete the hour-long border crossing process, then meet your Tanzanian driver/guide and proceed to the Serengeti.

Mara Triangle - En route to the border, drive through the Mara Triangle side of Maasai Mara, where you’ll see abundant wildlife grazing along the riverbanks. This area of Maasai Mara is more forested and bushy.

Full day in Serengeti

Serengeti National Park - After a 7 a.m. breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. Explore the endless plains and stunning skies of this World Heritage site, home to abundant wildlife and birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch at 1 p.m., then return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti Hippo Pool - Visit the hippo pool near the Seronera area of the Serengeti, where large families of hippos jostle for space and fend off other animals seeking water. This pool is an oasis in a dry region.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Depart the Serengeti at 7 a.m. for a game drive in a different area of this vast park, ending with lunch at the Nabii area before exiting the park. Drive through the conservation area to your hotel for the evening, preparing to enter the crater the next day.

Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara

Ngorongoro Crater - Begin an early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater at 6 a.m., the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to Africa’s highest density of big game. This half-day tour aims to spot as much wildlife as possible, including the elusive rhinos, part of the Big Five. After lunch, depart for the Manyara area.

Lake Manyara to Arusha

Lake Manyara - Start an early morning half-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park at 7 a.m.

Venus Premier Hotel - Depart for Arusha, arriving around 4 p.m. Check-in at the Venus Premier Hotel for a relaxing dinner.

Arusha to Nairobi
