Amboseli day trip. - While day trip with driver Kelvin, who was really helpful and accommodative of my needs. Amboseli itself is definitely great place though it is matter of luck what you will/will not actually see. However, I believe the driver did maximum for his side. It is truly whole day trip, 4.5 h transport, 4 h game drive, 4.5 h transport back.

Perfect Guide - Their service and explanation are very awesome, especially John and Mercy have good combination. They set up all schedule on time and arrange good resultant! I feel they also good vibes and love animals so much! John knows Safari because of his long time career and drove so safety. Mercy explained about history of Amboseli clearly and more detail for each animals here! We really do appreciated their perfect guide! When we coming back here, we definitely ask them to guide Safari again! Respect for Valley Rocks Tours‼️

Excellent safari tour seeing a host of incredible animals in amazing scenery - I booked a Private Day Tour of Amboseli National Park with Valley Rocks Tours and had an amazing experience. I was sharing the tour with another person, who I didn't know and initially I was going to do the tour solo, but it was great to share the experience with someone else equally as excited as me. Our brilliant tour guide was Esborn. He was super friendly and extremely informative about all the animals we saw - and there were a LOT of animals! Several families of elephants with some lovely close-up encounters, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, buffalos, ostriches, and... we were lucky enough to see the king of the jungle! It is apparently quite rare to see a lion roaming around, so we felt very lucky about that. The tour starts with a 5am hotel pickup, then a 2-hour drive to the first stop for breakfast and toilet break, then another 1.5-hours to the park. It was great to open the roof of our vehicle so we could stand up and take in all the surroundings. The weather was very hot, but we were mostly in the shade. Sadly, Kilimanjaro was covered by cloud for most of the day, although we did glimpse the peak in the morning when we first arrived. Overall, it was a fantastic day and one I'll never forget.

Great! - My first safari was a success!! Many animals: elephants, zebras, hippos, ostriches, flamingos... I had 2 guides to myself that were perfect!! Both extremely kind and caring. They even helped me get a charger and sunscreen. I can only recommend them!

Well professional - This was my first tour in Kenya. My guide, Glen, was very professional and I could lean a lot about wild animals and game drive. I watched many animals there. Good start in Nairobi, and thanks a lot Glen!

Beautiful experiences - This was my second time booking with Valley Rocks after a great experience last time. Day trip to Amboseli was amazing, saw so many animals, was totally worth it despite the very early start time to make it all in a day. Driver&guide Peter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended!

Good but not amazing - During my volunteering experience in Nairobi, I had a free day and decided to go on a day trip. Originally, I planned to do the tour alone, but the organisers contacted me the day before, asking if someone else could join. I didn’t mind, so it ended up being a lovely lady, also from Italy, and I. The visit to the park itself was fantastic. We saw many animals, and the driver/guide shared a lot of interesting facts about them. He was very kind overall, also stopped to let us take pictures of the Kilimangiaro along the way (even if you couldn’t really see it clearly) since he knew it wouldn’t be visible later on because of the clouds. However, I wasn’t particularly fond of the stop at a shop/restaurant along the way. We spent quite a bit of time there and were constantly pressured to buy something as we walked around. Later, we returned to the same place for lunch at around 4 pm, as the trip took longer than expected. This wasn’t an issue, but had I known, I would have brought a packed lunch and eaten at the park’s picnic site instead. We also visited a Maasai village, which cost an additional $30 to be paid in cash directly to the villagers. Since I wasn’t aware of this in advance, I didn’t have any cash on me. Fortunately, the lady I was travelling with kindly lent me the money, allowing me to join the visit. The experience was interesting, but I felt a bit pressured to purchase items from their market. I ended up spending 4,000 KSH on three beaded bracelets and a giraffe keychain. Later, I saw almost identical bracelets being sold in Nairobi for just 300 KSH, which made it clear this was a typical tourist trap. The overall experience was nice but I would probably change the schedule a bit to make it better!
