- Mount Kenya National Park - As the tallest mountain in the country, Mount Kenya attracts adventurers who typically spend 3 to 5 days reaching the summit and returning. This tour, however, allows participants to appreciate the mountain’s stunning beauty.
The day begins with an early morning pickup from a hotel in Nairobi, followed by a journey to Mount Kenya National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrival at the Naro Moru Gate is scheduled for 9:00 AM, where the hike commences.
Participants will trek through rainforests up the mountain, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who will share insights about the local flora and fauna. The park is home to elephants, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and Cape buffalos, among other wildlife. Additionally, there will be opportunities to observe beautiful bird species.
Around noon, the group will reach the Meteorological Station and begin the descent through the bamboo forest. By approximately 2:00 PM, they will return to the Naro Moru Gate to enjoy a well-earned packed lunch. The day concludes with a drive back to Nairobi for drop-off.
