- Hell’s Gate National Park - 7am - Depart Nairobi and start of drive to Naivasha, brief stop over at the Great rift valley view point.
Arrive at the gate of hells gate at around 9am. Start of the biking tour at hells gate for 2 hours
11am - Visit the gorges inside the park. Gorges are small thin depressions of land mass where you can walk underneath. Some areas have formed caves where you can walk through. This will take 1 hour.

Originally named the ‘Great Rift Valley’ by British Explorer John Walter Gregory, the Rift Valley is a geographic stretch extending 6000km across the Middle East and Africa from Jordan to Mozambique. The valley encapsulates tremendous changes in topographic diversity with its scarps and volcanoes, lakes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert landscapes and coral reefs and islets. The astounding view, as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya is quite unbelievable. To show you just how expansive the rift is, the ground unexpectedly disappears from under you, extending thousands of kilometers in either direction. An excellent starter to the Kenyan Rift Valley, it may appear, the most amazing part of this experience is sinking deeper to explore the Lake System of the Rift.

Perfect Day with Perfect Safaris - I went to Hell‘s Gate national park for a safari bike tour and was not deceived: led by the park guide, another tourist and I discovered the volcano-shaped landscape, beautiful bolder rocks and the mesmerizing fauna in the midst of the small canyon-like scenery. Continuing by foot ins more protected zone, we also got to see the sceneries that inspired the movie makers of Tomb Raider II and the Lion King.
Many many thanks to Nuru from Perfect Safaris for picking me up in he morning and bringing me to the sights. We had a joyful car ride and both interesting and heart-warming talks along the way! Nitarudi tena, if God is willing 🙏🏾

Prompt. Professional, Flexible and Funny! - Great experience from pick up to drop off. Isaac was my driver. Robert was my cycling guide. Courteous, professional, flexible and funny. I shared a few Dad Jokes with Robert on the ride.

5+ from us! - A fabulous day out in Hell’s Gate National Park! Our day started at 7am when our guide, Isaac, picked us up from our Nairobi hotel. Isaac was a very careful driver and extremely knowledgeable on all things Kenyan. The 2 hour drive spent chatting and laughing with Isaac, was very pleasant. We arrived at the park, chose our bikes and set off, with an experienced park guide, on an easy, out and back ride. So much fun cycling by giraffes and zebras. At the turn around point we hiked into the spectacular gorge before heading back for lunch. After a meal at Lake Naivasha, we took a boat ride. The experienced captain pointed out, and named, all the wildlife, which included many types of birds, and on Crescent Island, hippos, zebra, waterbuck and impala, to name a few. We were very lucky with the traffic and Isaac returned us safely to our hotel at 6pm. Thank you Isaac for your safe driving, good company and sharing your vast knowledge of Kenya!

Awesome trip with my guide Isaac and Darius - Awsome cycle through the park then hike down the gorge to Simbas rock. Zebra, gazelle, buffalo, baboons, warthog, and more stuff!
My main guide was Isaac who was fab

Day trip to hells gate and lake naivasha - The Trip was easily booked and communication was quick .
Our driver Isaac was very professional and forthcoming with interesting information all through the day.
His driving was second to none and we always felt safe.
Isaac was great with giving us information on kenya and the trip we were doing to hells gate and lake naivasha.
We had a great day and would recommend this trip no problems.

Would do again - Had an amazing time. Stephen picked us up at our apartment on time and was always helpful, sharing his knowledge of various places we saw along the trip.
When we got to the tour, Bernard was equally helpful and knowledgeable, stopping at various places to take pictures of us.
Overall, what a fun day, would recommend!

Book now!!! Amazing Tour!!!! - Everything about this tour was incredible. The driver was prompt and the journey to Hell’s Gate was smooth. We stopped at the top of the rift valley at a Maasai market then continue onward. Once there, we chose our bikes and began one of the most beautiful rides Ive biked. Animals spotted included zebras, buffalos, baboons, giraffes, impalas. After about 8 km, we arrived at the entrance to a gorge we climbed down to explore. In the gorge, we encountered waterfalls and small rivers. This also included the valley that inspired scenes from Lion King and Tomb Raider. Finally, we went to Lake Navaisha and ordered food at the resort on the lake which was ready after our boat ride. The boat was amazing as we saw various birds and hippos on our way to an island that had wildebeest, ostrich, zebras, buffalos, elk, and other creatures relaxing side by side without the threat of any big cat predators. I cant recommend enough and if you are tired of car game drives then this is the tour for you!!!!

Nice trip, with potential for improvements - It is a good trip if you’re looking for spending time actively. The distance on bicycle trip was around 18km, return is a bit uphill.
Isaac is a nice guy and can tell you a lot about the city, the park and Kenya.
Things that could be improved (especially given the price):
- bikes are dated, gears do not work perfectly and brakes are weak
- I asked before trip if we’re going to be provided with a bottled water and got a positive reply, but this was not the case after all - it is hot at the park so guests should be informed to buy the water and take the sunscreen
- the car could be cleaner
