Amboseli National Park - Begin the tour with a pickup from the hotel or airport and head to Amboseli, one of Kenya’s oldest, most renowned, and frequently visited parks. This park is endlessly scenic yet relatively small, featuring lush green swamps where large herds of elephants can be seen partially submerged in the papyrus grasses. The permanent marshlands also attract hippos and buffaloes, while providing a sanctuary for numerous water birds. As an International Biosphere Reserve, the park mainly consists of the typically dry lakebed of Lake Amboseli, encircled by flat grasslands with sparse trees. The plains are home to various antelopes, spotted hyenas, jackals, warthogs, olive baboons, and vervet monkeys. Observation Hill, a conical peak that is easy to climb, offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the expansive plains.
