Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - Our company representative will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation. After a brief safari orientation, you’ll meet your experienced driver guide in the morning for a picturesque drive southeast to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Begin your first afternoon game drive, exploring the acacia woodlands, freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and open plains in search of wildlife, returning at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Amboseli National Park (392 sq km) is renowned for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain in the world and the highest in Africa (5895m). Amboseli is also an elephant haven, where large African savannah elephants graze from swamp to swamp. Due to the plentiful water and pasture, you can also spot cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, gnus, gazelles, hippos, and many other animals.
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - After breakfast, leave the camp with your packed lunch to enjoy in the wild. Spend the day exploring the marshlands and swamps of Amboseli, which are fed by underground water channels. Water and pasture are abundant year-round, attracting elephants and various other herbivores. Return to the lodge late in the afternoon after a day of exploration.
You also have the option of starting the day with an early morning game drive to see animals at their most active, then returning to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch.
During the hottest part of the day, relax in the camp with a book, journal about your safari, or listen to music while bird-watching. The animals will be doing the same. Later, head out for another afternoon drive through the park, returning to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru National Park - After an early breakfast, drive west past Nairobi for scenic views towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to stretch and take photos of the contrasting landscapes. Lunch will be local cuisine at a restaurant en route or an English buffet at your lodge/hotel. After lunch, enjoy a game drive in the park before checking into your hotel in the evening.
Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s finest, with rocky escarpments, yellow-barked acacia forests, and a waterfall. It is home to flamingos, black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. The southern end of the lake is ideal for wildlife viewing, with the forested area below Rhino Cliff being a favorite spot for lion sightings.
Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast, drive through the Rift Valley floor to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. Embark on your first game drive in the reserve in search of the Big Five and other herbivores in the beautiful savanna. Return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is a top wildlife destination in Kenya, known for its big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and elephants. You are likely to see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and impalas. With over 500 bird species recorded, it’s also a bird-watcher’s paradise. The reserve’s stunning savannah landscapes and acacia trees make it a highlight for many travelers.
Masai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Spend a full day game viewing across the rich grasslands and rolling hills of the famous “Eighth Wonder of the Animal World.” The Mara is known for its large herds of plains game, including leopards, cheetahs, and lions, as well as numerous elephants and other wildlife.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the savannah under a flat-top acacia tree while watching the animals graze. Continue game viewing en route to your camp, arriving in the evening after thoroughly exploring the 1,500 sq km grassland savannah.
You have the option of booking an early morning balloon ride, followed by a bush breakfast. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience worth sharing.
Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, with picnic lunch boxes in hand, head to the Kenya-Tanzania border (Isebania border post). Prepare to pay for your visas ($50, cash only). After clearing the border, you’ll be transferred to a Tanzanian driver guide and proceed to Serengeti National Park, meaning “endless plains.”
Enjoy your first Serengeti game drive en route to your camp, keeping an eye out for the millions of animals that call this place home. Arrive at your camp late in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Tonight, experience a true African safari at an unfenced lodge within the national park. Your driver guide and camp manager will provide a full safety briefing upon arrival.

During the hottest part of the day, relax in the camp with a book, journal about your safari, or listen to music while bird-watching. The animals will be doing the same. Note: An early hot air balloon ride is also an option. Please ask the tour manager before booking if interested.
Serengeti to Karatu via Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Enjoy a final game drive through the Serengeti as you exit the park. Drive through the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area en route to Karatu. In the afternoon, descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a game drive, where you may see some or all of the Big Five animals.
The animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles, making it easier to observe them up close. Enjoy the spectacular views from the crater rim as you descend to the bottom, where animals roam the lakes, rivers, woodlands, and hills. Look out for wildebeest, lions, zebras, cheetahs, buffaloes, gazelles, and the endangered black rhino.
Later, drive out of the crater to your lodge in Karatu, on the outskirts of Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll stay for the night.
Karatu via Lake Eyasi to Tarangire National Park
Lake Eyasi - After an early breakfast, head to Lake Eyasi, a large seasonal soda lake. Lake Eyasi has been home to the Hadzabe people for over 10,000 years and is one of the few places in Africa where traditional tribal life continues without modern influence.
Today’s visit to the Hadzabe lands offers a unique insight into this ancient culture. Meet community members and join in daily activities like hunting, gathering, and traditional dances. Learn about their unique ‘click’ language, one of the oldest still in use today. Proceed to your lodge in Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, embark on your first game drive in this beautiful park, known for its high concentration of wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Tarangire National Park to Nairobi
Nairobi - Depart early this morning around 7:30 am, heading for the Kenyan border (Namanga border post) via Arusha, leaving Tarangire National Park behind. At the border, clear immigration at the one-stop border post. Meet your Kenyan driver guide who will drive you to Nairobi (approximately 4 hours from the border), arriving in good time.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, head straight to the airport or opt for a celebratory late lunch or dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Then, be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your flight home.
NOTE: We can arrange a day room if you have a late-night departure, so you can freshen up before heading to the airport.
