Lake Nakuru National Park is conveniently connected to Nairobi by a tarmac road, located 156 km northwest of the city. It is an excellent destination for bird watching, particularly for observing the large flocks of pink flamingos. In addition to flamingos, the park is home to waterbucks, impalas, and hippopotamuses.
