Maasai Mara National Reserve - Another full day of game viewing and exploration in this magnificent park. The Mara is legendary for its abundant lions, elephants, giraffes, various gazelle species, and zebras. Cheetahs and leopards are frequently seen, and rhinos are occasionally spotted. The annual wildebeest migration, a remarkable wildlife spectacle, occurs from July to September, attracting large animals and their predators. The reserve is also home to several species of Bee-Eater, the vibrant birds that top the Mara’s avian list. The Maasai Mara is inhabited by the colorful Maasai tribe, often seen around the park’s borders—Morans (warriors) traversing the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders gathered under a tree discussing daily matters. A visit to a Maasai boma (homestead) offers insight into their remarkable culture and traditions.
