Maasai Mara National Reserve - Spend a full day game viewing in the rolling grasslands of Mara with endless plains where more than two million wildebeest migrate from Serengeti in Tanzania with their calves. Visit the banks of the Mara River to try and spot the hippos. Optionally, visit a Maasai village to learn about their unchanged culture. Overnight and dinner at the tented camp. F/B

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Another full day of game viewing and exploring this spectacular park. The Mara is the land of African legend: Lions are abundant throughout the park, as are elephants, giraffes, various gazelle species, and zebras. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly seen, and rhinos are spotted less frequently. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September, with large animals and their predators present in abundance during this period. Several species of bee-eater, the flying rainbow that tops the list of the Mara’s birds, can be found in the reserve. Besides wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe, who may be seen around the park’s borders—Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders gathered under a tree discussing daily matters. A visit to a Maasai boma (homestead) reveals their remarkable culture and customs.
