Diani Beach - Begin your journey from Diani/Mombasa/Nyali/Watamu/Malindi at 4:30 AM and travel to Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest park. The drive will take approximately 3 to 4 hours.

Tsavo National Park East - Arrive in the morning, just in time for a morning game drive, followed by lunch at your lodge. Relax and prepare for a 2-hour night game drive.

Tsavo East National Park is one of the world’s largest game reserves, offering a pristine wilderness for a vast array of wildlife. Notably, the Tsavo lions, whose adult males often lack manes, are a highlight. The park is home to over 103 bird species, including vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzards, and the rare lammergeyer vultures. Common animals include hyraxes, African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, hyena, and baboons. Additionally, the park hosts servals, a few klipspringer antelope, and Chanler’s mountain reedbuck.

Tsavo East National Park and Return

Tsavo East - After a restful night and a hearty breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you exit the national park. You may choose to return to your hotel, residence, or head directly to the airport, depending on your plans.

As dusk falls and morphs into night, the wilderness takes on a completely different persona. It’s a time when numerous creatures retire while others rise to life. Nightcrawlers like aardvarks, porcupines, and civet cats start their hunt and gathering, sharing the land with some unexpected companions. Hippos, generally seen lazing in the waters during the day, step out onto the plains under the cover of darkness for a feast. Observing the big cats that recline in the day’s shade turn into predators at night is a common sight. Our Night Game Drives often feature thrilling moments like lions or leopards chasing after zebras or wildebeests.
