Amboseli National Park is located directly south of Nairobi. The park is primarily composed of a dry, ancient lake bed and delicate grasslands interspersed with acacia woodlands, while the southern region features several small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamps of Ol Kenya, Ol Tukai, and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms.

Dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak, Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most renowned parks. The name “Amboseli” is derived from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust,” and it is one of the premier locations in Africa to observe large elephant herds up close. Nature enthusiasts can explore five distinct habitats here, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulfur springs, to the savannah and woodlands.

Amboseli National Park to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta Conservancy - After a delightful breakfast at the lodge, travel to Ol Pejeta. Arrive in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Serena Camp and relax after the drive. The afternoon offers an opportunity for game viewing within the conservancy.
This conservancy is home to the Big Five and provides remarkable wildlife sightings, including the last two remaining Northern white rhinos. Ol Pejeta also serves as a sanctuary for over 165 critically endangered black rhinos. The Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary has been a refuge for orphaned chimpanzees since 1993, offering a natural habitat for this non-native species on an island within the park. Chimpanzees brought to the sanctuary are nursed back to health and released into the conservancy.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Aberdares The Ark Lodge

Aberdare National Park - After breakfast at the lodge, depart at 8:30 am for the iconic and thrilling Aberdare National Park. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, attracting a variety of magnificent wildlife. Modeled after Noah’s Ark, The Ark features four viewing decks with balconies and lounges, offering excellent game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you! Lunch is served at the Aberdares Country Club before transferring to The Ark Lodge in Aberdares.

Aberdares National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park - Bid farewell to Aberdare as you travel to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy an en route game drive to your lodge located within the park. Check in for lunch and some rest, followed by an afternoon game drive.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha Hell’s Gate National Park

Lake Naivasha - After breakfast, depart the lodge for a drive to Lake Naivasha, checking in at your lodge for an early lunch. Afterwards, visit Hell’s Gate National Park for a game drive. Other optional activities include hiking the gorges or cycling among wildlife.

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Begin the day with an early morning drive to Maasai Mara. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge. After a brief rest, embark on a game drive within the park.
Maasai Mara is the most thrilling wildlife ecosystem in the savannah grassland, hosting the highest and most diverse concentration of wildlife in the region. The scenic beauty of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the variety of wild game species make it a prime location for game viewing activities.
As the sun sets, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Maasai Mara National Game Reserve

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, followed by a full-day game drive with a packed lunch served picnic-style in the park. A balloon ride can be arranged on this day at an additional cost.
The classic Mara landscape is golden savannah: flat grasslands with ample grazing, ideal terrain for cheetahs to pursue a Thomson’s gazelle. From around July, two million wildebeest cross the Mara River into the Maasai Mara National Reserve to feast on the lush savannah.

Maasai Mara National Game Reserve to Nairobi

Maasai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast, pack your belongings and begin the drive back to Nairobi. Lunch will be served at the Carnivore Restaurant. After lunch, you will be dropped off at your city hotel or JKIA Airport, depending on your flight schedule.
