Mombasa to Tsavo National Park and Game Drives
Tsavo National Park East - Guests are picked up from their hotel or the airport and driven to Tsavo East National Park via the Mombasa-Nairobi Trans-African Highway, entering through the Bachuma Gate. Enjoy a game drive on the way to the lodge, arriving in time for lunch. After checking in and resting, depart the lodge at 3:30 pm for an evening game drive through the Voi main gate, continuing until 6:00 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to observe various wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, numerous elephants, and, if fortunate, the Big Cats. Dinner and rest follow.
Full Game Drive in Tsavo East National Park
Tsavo National Park East - After breakfast, embark on a game drive exploring different sections of the park, particularly the loop side, which is swampy and teeming with wildlife. Visit the pipeline area, where many elephants gather due to the abundance of water holes for mud bathing. Later, explore the Luggard Falls and Yatta Plateau.
Early Morning Game Drive and Departure to Mombasa
Tsavo National Park East - Begin the day with an early morning breakfast, followed by a game drive to capture the sunrise. This is an ideal time to witness the Big Cats, either hunting or feasting on a recent kill, especially lions. Afterwards, depart for Mombasa via the Voi-Mombasa Highway.
