Tsavo East - Tsavo East, the largest park in Kenya, spans an area of 13,747 km². Arrive at Bachuma and begin a game drive towards Aruba Dam, a water hole frequented by animals. Notable features include the Tsavo River, the 300 km² Yatta Plateau, Mdanda Rock, Lugard Falls, the Voi seasonal river, and Aruba Dam. Wildlife sightings may include red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, and giraffes. Continue the game drive to Manyatta Tented Camp, checking in around 1:00 pm. Enjoy lunch and relax until 4:00 pm, then embark on another game drive until 6:30 pm before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Tsavo East National Park – Taita Hills Game Sanctuary
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - Rise at 5:30 am for a cup of coffee and an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This is an opportunity to spot the big cats of Tsavo. Return to the lodge for breakfast around 8:30 am, followed by a final game drive before departing for Taita Hills Salt Lick, an 80 km journey. Arrive in the early afternoon and check in at Taita Hills Lodge for lunch. At 2:30 pm, head to Hilton Salt Lick to observe animals at the water hole. Another game drive follows from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Established by Hilton in the early 1970s, the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary covers 24,000 hectares and features thorny bushes, acacia forests, arid savannah, swamps, and the Taita Hills. Wildlife includes elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and various bird species such as ostriches, hornbills, guinea fowls, kingfishers, and weaver birds.
Taita Hills Game Sanctuary - Mombasa
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - Wake up at 5:30 am for a cup of coffee and an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This is another chance to see the big cats of Taita Hills. Return to the lodge for breakfast around 8:30 am, then drive back to your hotel in Mombasa.
