Your coastal trip to the historic city of Mombasa isn’t fully realized until you spend a day at Tsavo national park. The park is split into Tsavo West and Tsavo East. It’s an excellent choice to visit either park, making your short or long vacation even more memorable. Tsavo National Park holds the title for being the biggest park in Kenya, spread across 21,000 square kilometers. It’s strategically situated between Mombasa and Nairobi, straddling the main highway. Tsavo is popular for its diverse wildlife and interesting geological features like Mudanda Rock and Lugard Falls. In the dry season, Mudanda Rock provides an ideal vantage point for viewing elephants and other wildlife due to its height over a natural dam. Additional features of note include the Yatta Plateau and the Aruba Dam.
