2 day vacation to Kochi-Alleppey houseboat - We had a great 2 days family vacation (2 Adults + 2 Children) at Kochi-Alleppey-Athirapally waterfalls 10 days ago, thanks to the excellent organization and hospitality of Iris Holidays. Booking experience was personalized and stress-free to our requirement. From the time we landed in Kochi till we got dropped back at the Kochi airport on the 2nd day late evening, it was a smooth experience. We had an excellent driver (Mr Lalan) who made thoughtful suggestions enroute for our stopover experiences. Our houseboat team showed great hospitality and took care of all our needs. The houseboat ride and stay overnight in it was a delightful experience. Additionally we covered an elephant ride, a lovely beach, a fantastic folklore museum and the magnificent Athirappally/Vazhachal waterfalls. The entire family thoroughly enjoyed the trip - Thank you Team Iris Holidays!

House Boat Experience - Aleppey Back Waters - We were all locked down inside our society complex for a complete year in 2020. As a Family we all wanted to come out and take a break but not risk the COVID factor. We planned for a road trip to Allepey Back waters. We chose Iris Holidays because of the great experiences we had with their service in the past. They came up to speed and arranged for a awesome stay, food and over-night experience in a House Boat on Allepey Back Waters. We are thankful to the hospitality shown during our stay, thanks.

Cereal overnight Backwater experience - very professional, turned up for transfer on time, stopped to see things on the way if we wanted.
Boat was great, better than we were expecting, king bed, spa bath, air conditioning clean and tidy. Included a tour of Kerala sights the next day for no extra charge, plus dropped us off at different hotel near the airport.

Backwaters must see in Kerala - Enjoying the Backwaters overnight in a Houseboat is something you should do with your girlfriend, wife or family. A houseboat has something romantic. Although I was alone I still enjoyed it. The nature in the Backwaters is beautiful. Driver Jude picked me up from my hotel and captain Sugathan and cook Renjith made the trip very pleasant. Weather the first day was great. Second day it was less. Probably in November and December when the season really starts it must be very good. Driver Jude also took me to the beach the following day without extra charge.

A must do experience while in Kerala - It was a great experience to have at least once in your life while in Kerala. We were able to get fresh catch of the day from the backwaters, cooked on board and served for dinner.
Sitting on the deck and seeing the sunset while sailing the scenic backwaters of Kerala.

Total bliss - If Kerala is God's own country our trip was heaven on earth.
We had a one bedroom house boat with a cook and a captain and it was wonderful to sail on the backwaters and stop at places and just watch the world go by.
Niranjana at Iris Holiday had everything organised perfectly and all over emails.

Beautiful place, wonderful food - Our excursion to Kerala and Backwaters trip was a highlight during our time in India. The personalized tour with Afsal, amazing food and opportunity for a glimpse into local way of life were very special.

Chill out on the backwaters - Experience was much better than we expected mainly as the houseboat docked overnight at the company's base so that the houseboat had mains electricity (not a noisy generator) and had wifi. All the meals were superb, too much to eat. Recommend to take a houseboat with an upper viewing deck

Stunning Scenery in beautiful waters , tranquil stay , with good facilities . - Fabulous Cruise through tranquil waters surrounded by Nature with stunning views , great for bird watchers. There was six of us on our houseboat all with separate rooms with ensuite shower, bedroom was small but adequate with comfortable views. Lovely to open shutters in the morning and be so close to wildlife. Need to take overnight bag rather than suitcase. Nice area to sit on deck and take photographs of varied wildlife. Meals were quite good and staff pleasant. moored up in a nice location in the evening to watch the sun go down.Would recommend good mosquito protection whilst eating evening meal on deck. Very enjoyable stay pleasant break from our busy tour. Would recommend .
