Highlights
  • Conor Pass - Conor Pass rises 456 feet vertically from the sea, to serve as a passageway between the Sliabh Mish Range and Mount Brandon. It is Ireland’s highest mountain road. This winding, alpine route offers breathtaking views for those brave enough to travel the precipitous road where Blackface Mountain sheep are more abundant than cars. The pass’s summit offers breathtaking views of Brandon Bay to the north and Dingle Bay to the south. As we move on, the landscape transitions to a deep glacial cirque, dotted with magnificent alpine lakes and waterfalls. Many travellers skip this route because it is difficult, but with Mossie’s Tours, you are free to sit back and enjoy the view.

A Perfect day in Dingle peninsula - Fantastic day in the magical Dingle peninsula. Helen was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about history, landscape, culture, and all things mystical in Dingle. This was my second visit here and I learned so much more about it and it enjoyed it even more with an experienced guide. She tailored the day to our interests and was patient and accommodating with my photographic impulses to stop (safely) on a dime so I could get the perfect shot! My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed our day experiencing Dingle with Helen. It was a Perfect day! Will do it again! Thanks Helen!

He went above and beyond to tailor the tour to our interests providing fascinating insights and anecdotes that brought the destination to life. The itinerary was perfectly balanced, offering a mix of iconic sights and hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. Experience of a lifetime - My wife and I did the full day private tour of the Dingle peninsula with Helen. She was incredibly knowledgeable and kind and answered all of our questions and provided some excellent recommendations for places to eat, hear live music, and to include as part of the tour. She then customized the tour to fit our interests in the history and culture of the peninsula and took us to some truly beautiful and memorable locations - we did Conor Pass (thank goodness she was driving!) and visited the Dingle Crystal workshop and got to learn about the crystal making process. We also were able to visit a bronze age settlement and learn about medieval construction techniques! Plus, we also got to hold baby lambs, which is always a delight. Helen's expertise and knowledge of the area helped us avoid tourist traps and prioritize local gems that take pride in their community and allowed us to really experience Dingle. By the end of the tour, we knew we would have to return to Dingle and spend a much longer time in the town and go on yet another tour with Helen again in the future. We could not have been happier with the tour and we are truly grateful for everything Helen was able to do for us. 10/10 would highly highly recommend!

Dingle Peninsula day trip is a must. - Husband and I enjoyed a full day with Helen touring the entire Dingle Peninsula. She was a wealth of information and was very accommodating with our preferences. We loved the variety of places and sites that we visited. From the circles, bee hive homes, coastline, and beaches, she had the inside scoop. It was one of the highlights of our 2 week long trip to Ireland.

Best Dingle and Ring of Kerry tours - Mossie's knowledge of the history, culture and people of this beautiful country led us to fall in love with the Dingle and Kerry peninsulas. He drove safely on the narrow, breathtaking roads and was sensitive to our mobility needs. He knew the short cuts and made sure we saw all that we wanted to see and more. Mossie was fun and engaging and had the best stories to tell. Mossie's 2 day, all day tours were the best way we could have begun our trip.

As Good As It Gets - My wife and I, with another couple who were our trip companions, took each of Mossie's full days tours of the Dingle and Kerry peninsulas. I can't say enough about the quality of the experience. We'd heard about how good Mossie was from my brother. We were not disappointed. The mundane: Mossie's van was impeccably clean and late model. He was mic'd up so the couple in the back could hear his every word. He was on time. He welcomed questions. The exceptional: Mossie's command of Irish history is encyclopedic. His own experience growing up on a subsistence farm on the Dingle peninsula, speaking Gaelic exclusively until his tenure in the Irish Navy, teaching himself English, his world travels, his time as a touring vocalist singing traditional Gaelic ballads, his years as a tour guide all over Ireland, his involvement in the community issues of the day, his extensive contacts all over the island: These collectively give him a a deep well of knowledge to draw from. But delivery is everything, and boy does he deliver. He is sharp witted, quick with a gentle pun or a funny story, likely to break into song or a poem, unafraid to weave the difficult truths of a long Irish history into a hopeful and promising portrayal of the Ireland of today. He is energetic, warm and personable. Our small group came away with far more than we could have expected and an insight into and appreciation of Ireland that we will carry with us. The rest of our time in Ireland was seen in part through eyes trained by Mossie, something we greatly appreciated. Our tours with Mossie were exceptional.

A Dingle Peninsula tour with highlights, hidden gems, history and humour not to be missed! - My family had the great pleasure of spending the day with Mossie touring all the wonders that the Dingle Peninsula had to offer. In addition to the points of interest we had on our bucket list, we were able to experience special sites that would have been lost to us without his guidance and will be very special memories for us. Driving the coast is not for the faint of heart so having an expert at the wheel ensured that our whole family were able to soak in all the beauty in true comfort and security. Beyond the gorgeous scenery, we loved learning all about the fascinating history of Ireland. Mossie is a true expert on the heart and soul of Ireland and brought a wealth of knowledge that enriched our holiday and understanding of our historical roots. Our time with Mossie will definitely be one of the greatest highlights of our entire trip and we highly recommend his tour if you want an experience that goes above and beyond tourist attractions in Dingle.

Fun Filled Day - My husband and I were very fortunate to find Mossie's Tour. He picked us up at our BnB and we knew immediately upon meeting him it was going to be a great day! He took us to so many spots we never would have found on our own. He had so much knowledge of the area and it was amazing how much we learned with him. He made the tour fun with his interesting stories. I would highly recommend Mossie!

I'd give Mossie 100 ⭐️'s if I could! - I just can't say enough about Mossie and our March 26, 2024 Full Day Dingle Peninsula Tour! There were seven of us with ages ranging from 20's to 70's. He's a kind-hearted, informative, funny, accommodating, and engaging man with a fantastic voice! We all felt like he was part of our family by the day's end. Between the stories, the history, the songs and the conversations, Mossie (or his given name, Maurice, as my mom referred to him 😂), really set the bar high! He took us to Conor Pass, Slea Head Drive, the Beehive Huts where we held lambs, Famine Tour, Coumeenole Beach, Dunmore Head Walk, Gallarus Oratory, and Kilmalkedar. We even drove through the little village where he was born. He had a bluetooth headset so we could hear him through the vehicle audio which was a huge bonus for those in the back and/or hard of hearing. He picked us up at the Dingle Benners hotel and on our way back pointed out a few nice restaurants and pubs to go to for great pub food. I can honestly say this day was my absolute favorite of the 10 days in Ireland. I'd love to reserve the Spirit of Ireland tour with his wife Helen when I'm able to get back there. 100% recommend. Thanks Mossie, for a fantastic day!
