A spectacular day with tour guide Karen! - Our tour guide, Karen, was incredible, and this was a spectacular day - the highlight of my 10 days in Ireland. We booked the full day private tour for a group of four. This was a real splurge for our family, and I was a bit worried that my family members wouldn't think it was worth it -- but the tour exceeded all our expectations, and we were so glad we did it. I was happy that my sister, who did most of the driving on the trip, had a chance to be a passenger for the day and enjoy the stunning scenery. Karen, our guide, asked us at the beginning of the day if there were any particular points of interest for us, and made sure that we got to see the things we were most interested in. There are plenty of stops to get out of the minivan, enjoy the beautiful landscapes, and take photos. I loved walking on Coumeenole Beach, and seeing Brendan Creek and the Conor Pass (I was glad I was not driving up the mountain!) Our family has Irish ancestry, and we wanted to learn more about the people of Ireland, past and present. Karen is so knowledgeable, and she helped us learn some of the history of the Dingle peninsula, and what it's like to live there today. Dingle is in a part of the country called the Gaeltacht, where the Irish language is prioritized so it can be preserved. It was interesting to hear about how children in the area have their classes in the Irish language, and Karen shared a few Irish language phrases with us. I was so glad I booked this tour. Also, we were traveling with an older person, and Karen was good about identifying which stops were going to be more or less manageable for our particular needs. For other travelers, I'd advise them to bring a bit of cash along, for lunch, and to go in to pet the baby lamb (a very small fee, and worth it).

Excellent way to experience the Dingle peninsula - We had a private tour for four people (two couples) with Karen. She drove us around the peninsula, stopping at several sites (after checking that we were interested in the location) and providing great information along the way. Karen is very passionate about hiking in the area and suggested several locations where we could get out fo the van for anything from a quick walk to some fairly strenuous “hikes” to the tops of hills with spectacular views in addition to the typical stops at beehive huts, ring forts, etc. This was so much better than just looping around to a pre-set list of locations because we did have a private group and Karen was able to tailor the day to our interests.

Beautiful drive and hikes - You won’t want to miss this beautiful scenery, and the historical sites. And you won’t want to drive it yourself, trust me we opted for the drive and hike combination. Our guide, Rory was happy to customize the trip along the way to stay longer or shorter times, depending on what we were interested in. The Cliffside views combined with the fresh air hiking and Rory’s great historical details provided us with the perfect day!

Amazing way to see the coast! - We greatly enjoyed our tour of the Dingle Penninsula with Rory and Colm! They were both expert guides, and with the beautiful weather we had helped customize our tour to get to spend as much time outside as possible. He also helped us avoid some heavy lunch crowds and still get a great meal. Thanks guys!

Great private tour! - Colm was an excellent t guide! He grew up in the area and had lots of interesting tidbits about the area and knew everyone! The stops on the full day private tour were varied, fun, and a great slice of life and scenery in the area. Even though he e we’re in the car awhile, it did not feel like to! I highly recommend this tour.

Private tour of Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, Cliffs of Moher and Galway - Rory spent four days driving our family of six around Killarney, the Dingle Peninsula, Clffs of Moher and Galway. He was an excellent, safe driver and made the trip stress free. He had terrific dining recommendations and we all learned from his insight and stories. He made it a trip we will never forget.

Wonderful tour with great guide. - My wife and I had a great day private tour with Dingle Slea Head Tours yesterday. It was a highlight of our visit to Dingle. The reservation process was very straightforward and Rory answered all my advance questions very quickly and efficiently. Our guide, Colm (which I may be misspelling) was wonderful. He picked us up at our hotel on time to the minute and was a delight to spend the day with. He is a fount of knowledge about the area, took us to lots of places we wouldn’t have found ourselves (several on narrow roads that we would not have wanted to try and drive ourselves) and went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. The tour was a great combination of spectacular scenery and local history. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Tour of the Dingle Peninsula - Recently my wife & I treated ourselves to a full-day private tour of the Dingle Peninsula with Rory. Having done all of the driving on our vacation thus far, it was a real pleasure to sit back and take in all the sights. Being a local, Rory gave us insights and took us to places other tour guides might not. He allowed us to tailor the day as we saw fit, making suggestions but not pushing us. We were out of the car often, walking/hiking to spectacular beaches, vistas and ruins. Rory even went out of his way to return a cell phone to us that was accidentally left in the car at the end of the day. I highly recommend this tour! -Joe Knab
