Great experience! - We had a great time with Stan. Each boat had a max of 4 people but we lucked out and got our own boat with just the 2 of us (just based on how many people had booked that day). My husband loved driving the boat and they let us zoom around as long as we stayed near the group. We also saw seals and eagles while we were boating around!

Fantastic memorable experience - We got to drive our own boat to explore the waterways and wildlife of Ketchikan. It was a sense of freedom to follow Ben in our boat to see sites you would not see from land. We saw bald eagles and harbour seals. Ben and Chris are very knowledgeable, caring and gave us a memorable experience

Great time! - So much fun! You may want a little experience with a boat like this so you can keep up but you can figure it out as you go. We saw seals and eagles and our guide Ben was great!

Ketchikan high speed boats - My family and I had an amazing experience on this excursion. Ben was a great tour guide- extremely knowledgeable with a great demeanor! He made it a lot of fun! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful water body to boat in and surroundings that were surreal. Thank you!

Memorable afternoon on the water - We planned a zodiac trip for some coworkers to be able to get out on the water together and try out the experience of the zodiacs. For many of us, it was our first time. Stan, our guide, was so helpful and sociable. Especially for it being a trip where we all knew the area and work together. He fit right in and made sure the experience was fun and informative for us as well. We saw plenty of wildlife in a shortened trip. One of us had to work, but we had a great time. We exchanged stories about our experiences seeing whales in the waters we were floating in. We also looked through binoculars for seal on the rocky beaches/bays. Spotted some bald eagles of course. Would love to have another trip on the zodiacs. A plus for Stan to lead.

Fun wildlife viewing for everyone - Great excursion. They made it really easy for us coming off of our cruise ship, zero hassles. Our driver and boat guide were so friendly and accommodating. I was able to operate our boat easily with no prior experience. We saw eagles, sea lions, and a bear! So awesome. My mom was VERY hesitant to do this excursion and it ended up being one of her favorite parts of our trip. It is not physically demanding and boats are VERY easy to operate, suitable for any age or fitness level. Great opportunity to view and photograph wildlife. would recommend this for EVERYONE who wants a unique & memorable Alaskan experience.

Not enjoyable - I am writing this as I return to downtown Ketchikan from my zodiac adventure...Riding in the rear seat of an old mini van smelling exhaust fumes. The van ride to the launch dock each way is 30 minutes. Ben was our guide. He was very friendly and accommodating. Once we arrived at the dock, we were fitted with waterproof gear as expected. After boarding our zodiac,I quickly realized this was not the adventure advertised. This adventure was much more like a race as opposed to enjoyable. After leaving the dock Ben was full throttle.... expecting us to follow and keep up. The boat was difficult to control and VERY uncomfortable. While expecting to enjoy the coastline from a different perspective, being the ‘driver’, I never enjoyed anything. My full attention was keeping the zodiac straight and keeping up with Ben. We were on the water for approximately two hours. Approximately half way through our ‘adventure’ our boat started taking on water; making it that much more difficult to control. The last 30-45 minutes were the worst and most difficult. The wind had picked up and the water was rough making the ability to control the zodiac that much more difficult. Unless the throttle was kept wide open, it was impossible to keep a consistent speed. With the throttle wide open, the zodiac pounded the rough seas. All in all, I would NEVER have booked this adventure had I known.....
