You’ll be onboard Aleutian Ballad, a vessel showcased on the Discovery Channel’s widely watched series, Deadliest Catch. The catch is then kept in a live tank for viewing before being returned to the wild. Get ready to witness king crab, box crab, octopus, rockfish, prawns, and more. If you’re lucky, you might glimpse local creatures like sea lions and porpoises. This tour is globally recognized for its extraordinary wild eagle sightings.

Best Excursion Ever - Best excursion we've ever been on, including those in warm climates. These guys are engaging story tellers and funny too. Being able to hold and touch some of the exotic creatures they pulled from the water was a thrill. We saw a beautiful eagle circle and dive for fish thrown from the boat and also heard its call. The 3 hours flew by. We loved it.

Awesome captain and crew - Awesome captain and crew! Highly recommend! These guys and gals make this trip because of the real life stories they tell as they show you what it's like to be on a boat fishing and crabbing in the Bering Sea off Alaska. The only thing missing is 30 foot seas and 40 below weather! Thanks guys for one of the highlights of my trip to Alaska!

Amazing - This was an excellent tour. We came off the Princess Discovery at Perth 4. We took a right and walked along the boardwalk until we got to Perth 3. We then walked around Perth 3 and went down the ramp. You will see the Alleutian Ballad. We left around 8:15 am and returned at 11:00 am. We went out to Annette Island and saw some Eagles. Wow. We then watched the crew catch King Crab. They were huge. The crew told stories of their adventures along the way which were very entertaining. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic Experience on the Aleutian Ballad - Everything was beyond my expectations! The crew was knowledgeable, fun and wanted us to have a great time. I sat on the upper level and could see 360 and look down on what was happening on the lower deck. Tour time was just right. I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I highly recommend this tour. I got my money's worth and more.

Miserable - This would have been a great excursion, except we were stuck on the top in 48 degrees and beating rain. The shipmates made no effort to get guests to rotate and allow the ten or so people up top to have a turn to sit in the dry for the entire 3 hours. It was Absolutely miserable. Very hard to justify paying $200 to be completely pummeled and to find yourself sick for the next 4 days. A raincoat over my face and peeping out on occasion to catch a glimpse of what they were talking about. We did go down and stand on steps under the overhang some. Had to ask another customer if I could please sit in his seat for 5 minutes to take a break. I didn’t know that we would be in the elements and although the staff handed out raincoats, which I appreciate, it wasn’t much of an effort to care for their passengers. Some were told they couldn’t sit on the steps and were asked to move. I get it, but it really was torture for those up top. So bottom line: if it’s raining, September and 48 degrees..and you can’t get on the ship before everyone else, You may want a rain check IF they offer one. It would have been great if not for the conditions. Again, disappointed with the lack of concern.
