Great day in Ketchikan - Captain Jesse, his daughter Morgan, and first mate Jessie could not have provided a better experience! It helped that the seas were calm that day, June 19th, and the orcas cooperated. Jesse said that he had never seen so many orcas feeding together! We followed them for at least an hour and were able to get multiple videos. The boat was well stocked with drinks and snacks and all the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable and accommodating. We even thought we saw a bear on a nearby beach, but it turned out to be a big black dog, but it provided us with a good laugh. I couldn't recommend this excursion any more highly. Just do it!

Great company and tour! - We had an amazing time! The ship crew was so warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had could see humpback whales which we did! I would highly recommend this tour company.

Eagle One will not disappoint - Capt Jesse and Evan were wonderful tour guides. They got us as close as possible to whales without disturbing them which I respect! We saw two beautiful eagles perched on eagle rock. The land portion was very interesting. Saw a bear in a stream catch a salmon. The salmon ladder very interesting as well. A great tour overall. They were easy to book, communicated well, and on time.

August tour - Very nice and professional team. We went out twice to hopefully catch the humpback, but the orcas were out instead. The seal rock was definitely the highlight. Will be booking again next visit.

Don't miss out on this amazing experience - What an amazing experience! Captain Jesse and the deck hands are phenomenal! They truly want you to see whales and we saw both Orca and humpback. They also tour around to see Bald eagles and seals. You can tell They are locals as they are so passionate and knowledgeable. Would reco to anyone. The boat is perfect! New, clean and great refreshments offered The ground tour is also great.! Melanie was our guide. The perfect amount of time and you learn alot about this cozy, coastal town. We saw brown bears! Binoculars are available to borrow on both tours which is a really great addition!

Outstanding customer service and perfect itinerary! We saw whales! - For the sea portion: Captain Jesse and Melanie were welcoming, personable and so accommodating! Boat was comfortable with seating inside and outside. Guests had access to blankets, binoculars, water, snacks and pastries. Jesse is so knowledgeable and responsible. We were lucky to see multiple whales and two times we saw a whale bubble feeding! I had a 6yo boy with us and he did just fine! Boat does not go fast; just comfortably cruising speed. We also saw many seals and bald eagles. For the land portion: We took a van to the area where there are bears. We also went to the totem pole park and the waterfall. All great "must-sees" of Ketchikan that we were able to see in under 2 hours. Thank you, EagleOne team, for exceptional customer service all around!

Great interaction with wildlife - We enjoyed this experience so much that we did thd tour twice! Firstly we booked for the sea and land tours. On the sea part of the tour , we interacted with eagles, saw some seals and got close to whale. For the land tour, we were given a good in depth tour of the local wildlife habitats and totem poles. We were unfortunate in missing the bears, but wildlife has its own agenda -- especially when it's raining. We went on the sea part of tour again two days later, and as well as the eagles, we were fortunate enough to see a whale breeching, as well as two or three others. There was plenty of guidance and background from all the staff on board -- they want their customers to enjoy the tour as much as possible, so don't be scared to ask them questions. They have binoculars that you can borrow. The guys on the boat, and back at base, work very hard to make this as pleasant and enjoyable an experience as possible -- they're well worthy of support. They provided us with one of our best holiday experiences when we interacted with the eagles.

Go on the boat skip the van - The boat ride was enjoyable and we did see a humpback whale! However the van ride to see the bears at the salmon hatchery was not as enjoyable as there were no bears. Picture used to advertise this trip was very deceiving.

No Whales or Bears - I saw the great reviews and really wanted to support a local, family business. While Kaylee and Jesse were very kind and personable, we didn’t see any whales. It was disappointing. I know you can’t control wildlife but he just said something like “Well, I drove around a lot.” Then the land portion was even more disappointing. We went out to Herring Cove but no bears. The driver said it was high tide and the bears don’t go out at high tide. I feel like offering a tour when you know they won’t be there is in bad faith. We drove to a waterfall, then back to Herring Cove, but it was only 20 minutes later and still high tide. All of us just got out at Creek Street and didn’t continue the tour. It was an incredible waste of time and money. Sadly, I can’t recommend this company.

A Very disappointing experience. - The staff were friendly and helpful showing us where drinks were in the boat. But this tour was a lot of money! ($962) for a family with nothing to it. We saw 2 eagles, but no bears, no whales, no other wildlife! If you are going to charge this much money for an adventure to just look for wildlife that may or may not be there then you really need to add some other substance to the tour to make it not such a let down. The land tour guide did give us some information, but there was no commentary on board the boat in regards to the area about wildlife or landmarks or other interesting information. There was no Dungeness crab pot pulling as per description, and we did not see the salmon ladder. Our other Alaskan tours in cities included a lot more content. Very disappointing to have wasted all this money.
