Rainforest and Totem - A great rainforest trek, and we saw 2 bears 🐻. Beautiful Rainforest with banana slugs and a great commentary from Shannon. Great guide, friendly and accommodating to the group, and lots of detail answering any questions we had. After the trek we went into the sawmill to see how totems are made. Can reccommend the experience.

Fun learning experience for all ages! - My husband, myself and our 10yr old son thoroughly enjoyed this activity. Our guide Justin was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He explained things in a way that was entertaining and engaging. All three of us had a great time and learned so much! The rainforest was stunning and we saw quite a few creatures as well. I would absolutely recommend this activity to people interested in learning more about the Tongass Rainforest. Thank you Viator, Kawanti Adventures and Justin!!

Beautiful Walk! - My parents were in town visiting so we took them to the Rainforest Sanctuary. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time! Our guide KRISTEN was very knowledgeable and fun! We really enjoyed our time with her and how she made sure to connect with my younger daughter and help her carry around her slug.

Relaxing Nature Tour with possible Wildlife! - This was a nice and relaxing nature tour with some possibilities of seeing wildlife . Itinerary includes pick-up and transportation to the Rainforest Sanctuary (15minutes one way ). Then you will be joined by the tour guide. We had Elizabeth accompany us on this tour and she was AMAZING! She was very well educated on botany and environmental science. She was funny, quick, super friendly, and made us feel very comfortable. The tour guide will provide you cool information on the different vegetation and wildlife that calls this forest their home! Note that the forest trail is mostly flat and does not require any moderate hikes at all. After the forest walk , there will be an estuary with a boardwalk path where you may see some wildlife such as bears, birds, seals etc. This then leads to the totem park where they have professional carvers and blacksmiths a little museum and store . Note: They do not have the birds of prey anymore at the habitat . Their viator/tripadvisor listing needs to be updated for this disclaimer . This is due to concerns over the bird’s health so make sure to respect that! Overall , it was a good way to spend the last few hours of our time in Ketchikan . Relaxing and we learned many things! Thank you for the pleasant experience .

Wet and interesting Ketchikan rainforest - Emily was a very entertaining guide. Her knowledge of the flora and fauna was extensive. As a Ketchikan native she had a number of good stories. We saw an eagle, a couple of juvenile eagles, and some harbor seals. The weather was rough but we still had a good time.
