As the trail traces Connell Lake, you are enveloped by the serene beauty of nature and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Your guide, a lifelong Ketchikan resident, has spent years exploring these forests and will offer insights into the plants, wildlife, ecosystems, and history that make Ketchikan’s Tongass National Forest one of the world’s most extraordinary forests.

Although this trail is easy-to-moderate, it is unpaved. It is not recommended for those with health issues or injuries that require assistance or frequent breaks. The trail features hills and loose gravel.

You will return to your ship rejuvenated and well before your departure time.
