Sunset Watersports was a bit of paradise in Key West - The ultimate beach pass with parasailing was a great treat for our entire family. We had a wonderful time on the beautiful Smathers Beach with access to the kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, chairs & umbrellas and hobie cat small sailboats. However, it’s important you know two things. First, you must either already have experience to take out the hobie cat or pay more for a lesson otherwise you won’t be able to use them even though you pay for it originally as part of your package. If you flip the sail boat and the employees need to come help you it will costs you another $50 each time. Second, in order to use any of the other equipment I listed above, you’ll need to leave a credit card with the attendants as a security measure to make sure you don’t run off or damage their equipment.
Our absolute favorite part of the day was the parasailing because the experience was so incredible. The captain of the boat and his assistant were simply awesome at all levels and explained everything so well that it took all possible fear of doing it out of the equation. Don’t miss the opportunity of doing this activity or you’ll regret it.
Lastly, I met one of the owner’s of the company and learned that he is an awesome guy who REALLY cares about customer service and the overall experience his company sets out to provide his clients and been doing so for over 40 years now. Thank you Richard for making sure everything worked out as planned during our short two day family visit. We’ll see you again in October for more fun in the sun and paradise called Key West, FL.

Parasailing - Our two teenage sons went parasailing and had a blast. We would definitely recommend using Sunset Watersports. We used them to go snorkeling and jet skiing as well. All trips were first class

Great Experience, highly recommend at Smathers Beach - My wife and I really enjoyed our experience with Sunset Watersports, they really went above and beyond to meet our expectations. We got the beach pass which is great because you can do all water sport activities on the beach which includes a sail boat, Kayaks, paddle board, and tubes, and also included when not on the water you can relax on the beach with shade because the pass comes with 2 chairs and umbrella for the day. We also took advantage of doing parasailing with Sunset Watersports that was a great experience and the crew was very efficient and knowledgeable when getting everyone ready and relying information. The pictures were also great during the parasailing. Lastly I really want to point out an employee that really stood out to us and really contributed to our amazing experience, that is John. John got us squared away with booking everything and getting all the paperwork filled out and then went on to getting us set up with chairs and umbrella, but what really stood out and meant the most is that he would have conversations with us that made us feel welcomed and would periodically check up on us to see if we need anything or any help with the Watersports equipment, and not just with us he was constantly moving and organizing equipment for customers we really admired his hard work ethic.

Unforgettable Parasailing Experience at Smathers Beach with Sunset Watersports! - If you're in Key West, don't miss the chance to go parasailing with Sunset Watersports at Smathers Beach. I went with Ty and Brody, who were not only professional and focused on safety, but also incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. They shared great tips and stories about the area, adding a personal touch that was much appreciated. The equipment was top-notch, and the safety protocols were clearly explained, giving us confidence as we soared above the stunning Key West waters. The views were phenomenal—definitely a must-do for thrill-seekers and anyone looking to see the island from a new perspective. Thank you, Ty and Brody, for an adventure I'll always remember!

First time parasailing- now we’re hooked!!! - Best day ever!!!
This was our first time Parasailing and Captain Marty and Davey made the experience so much fun. It was a thrilling ride with a dip in the ocean! The photos they took were high quality and reasonably priced!
While we were up in the air, we decided that we need to do this every time we visit and hope that Marty and Davey are here to take us up! Thanks!!

Would not recommend the ocean front cabana - We reserved an ocean front cabana. We got to the resort at 10am and checked in at the main lobby. We were told to go to the pool/beach area to check in for the cabana. When we got there no one knew where we were to go or even which one was our cabana. By 11am we finally could talk to a bartender who told us where to go and that our server would be there shortly. Our server never came to our cabana to check in on us or ask if we needed anything. We had to order our lunch and food from the bar and it was eventually delivered to us. The service was very poor especially since we paid over $300 for a special cabana. In the picture it showed a fan in the cabana and there wasn't one, so it was very hot and stuffy. We ended up sitting on the long pier and hardly used the cabana. I would not recommend spending the money on one, when there are so many other free sitting options.

Awesome parasail, ok beach day - The parasail itself was excellent - the staff did a great job and took some really fun pictures of the group and the view of Key West during the parasail was awesome. However, I wish I had just booked it alone without the full beach pass. Hobie Kat was not an option if you didn't have prior sailing experience. The rest was largely unavailable most of the day as it was in use. We did get chairs which was nice but could have gotten for way less than the full beach pass. The beach was full of Portuguese man o' war so it was difficult to get to do much in the water.

Disappointed - Not anyone's fault, but entire experience was canceled without notice after driving 4 hours to get to the experience. Not happy about it
