The reason customers come back! - I’m going to start out this review by giving the biggest shoutout to Jeff and Christy with Sunset Watersports at Cow Key Marina. These two are the reasons customers come back to businesses! We rented a deck boat for half day but after answering a few ocean boating questions, my husband and I didn’t feel comfortable going out on our own. These two talked to us about the Eco tour and said they thought we would love it, it would get us out on the water and it was guided by Jeff. This trip did not disappoint! It was magnificent. The mangroves and sandbars at Mud Keys were spectacular! Jeff talked with us explaining different things, pointed out different fish and told us stories. We can’t thank Jeff and Christy enough for taking the time to help switch our rentals and talk us through our best options. If you are looking for something different, We highly recommend this tour and this business. Thank you! Rob & Nickie Towery Germantown, Ohio

Fun in the sun! - We had a great trip out to the mud key and through the mangroves. We had done this years earlier and decided to try it again! It was a good time! It does give some adrenaline as you are driving the smaller boats! Good time for all ages! Advice: Wear a lot of sunscreen and bring some water to drink!!!

Mangrove Fun - This is a really fun excursion. Cody our tour guide was really nice and knowledgeable. You have your own little two person speed boat. He guides you out to the mangroves where you make stops along the way. Super fun. Highly recommend.

Key West Guided Boat Trip - What a great morning on the water. Sunny, calm. Each couple had their own boat. Fun ride out to the spot. Snorkeling was great. Not much to see but floating around in the sun is as good as it gets. Our first spot was empty when we arrived but filled up. Quickly moved to another secluded spot. Great trip and company. Would absolutely do it again. Shout out to our guide Tyler. Chill and competent.

Fast ride and cool hammock - The tour guide brought us to a cool little uninhabited island that had the perfect hammock for a couple to relax on. The boats ran at a good speed and were fun to drive.

Interesting - When we arrived to check in and register, the lady at the counter was extremely rude. There was another gentleman there checking in, and she was giving orders and questions in an unfriendly manner to him as well. She was clearly upset about something and was clearly already having a bad day at 9 am. As we were completing the paperwork out, a young girl next to her interrupted the lady, calling her "mom" complaining to her about something on her personal cellphone. The lady reprimanded her and then turned her attention to us again. The tour itself was interesting and fun. Our tour guide was excellent, and went over some of the rules and pertinent information on what to do to stay safe while out on the water. As we drove our boat following behind the guides' boat, our boat kept stalling, and eventually, we had to stop. When the guide turned back around, he stated that we probably had seagrass tangled in the propeller and quickly instructed us to lift the motor out of the water. Sure enough, there was seagrass tangled in the propeller. Once the seagrass had come off, we were on our way with no further issues. Note to Sunset: Please add this bit of information to the initial instructions of possible things that might happen before heading out. Everything worked fine after that. When we arrived at the mangroves, the guide did a wonderful job at navigating us through all the adventurous twists and turns informing us of all the wonderful wildlife. Everything was wonderful except the lady's behavior and unprofessional treatment. When we returned, the lady was waiting for us at the pier and continued to rudely tell us how to dock our boat. We have driven boats before. As I stepped off the boat, I decided to be nice anyways and said, "Thank you, it was fun," and she just said "YEP"! And just walked off. We will never go back.

Not as advertised - This was not at all what I expected. It was hardly a “safari tour” because our guide drove so far out in front of us we couldn’t even see him if he were to signal us or anything. We cruised through the mangroves trying not to be left behind, wondering when we would stop to explore or enjoy the scenery. You make one stop at the Mud Keys, and that’s it. Then our guide basically said “okay you’re free to explore” for over an hour while he hung out on his phone until it was time to leave. We didn’t know where we were, what to look for, or where to go. Plus there were at least two other larger boats of locals drinking and playing loud music. I would have liked if the guide would have taken us to a more secluded spot, especially if the point was to see wildlife. The snorkeling is not reef snorkeling but sandbar snorkeling. And the water is too murky/sandy to see much. We tried though, and enjoyed being in the water. The boats are small and you sit low, so you cannot really see the water unless you sit up on the boat while driving slowly.
