- Phnom Kulen National Park - Phnom Kulen National Park is revered by Khmers as Cambodia’s most sacred mountain and is a popular destination. It played a crucial role in the history of the Angkor Empire. On this full-day tour from Siem Reap, visit the sacred peak of Phnom Kulen Mountain and explore the natural landscapes of the surrounding Phnom Kulen National Park. Enjoy the views from the mountaintop, admire the 16th-century reclining Buddha statue, and hike to the River of 1000 Linga and Phnom Kulen Waterfall.
- Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff) - Also known as “Amazing Cliff,” this site is located atop Kulen Mountain and offers impressive views across the canyon below between the mountain ranges. It is easily accessible from the main road across the top of the mountain, with a small parking bay and foot trail leading to the site. Approximately 150 meters of the cliff edge is cleared.
- Phnom Kulen Pagoda - At the summit of the hill, you can see a Buddhist pagoda and a large reclining Buddha statue, 8 meters in length, carved into a sandstone block in the 16th century.
- Preah Ang Thom pagoda - Often referred to as the Reclining Buddha, Preah Ang Thom is an 8-meter (26 ft) tall statue of the reclining Buddha reaching nirvana. The statue is carved into a massive natural sandstone boulder, with a modern staircase and a shelter added over the Buddha. It is a very sacred and special site for all Cambodians, frequently visited and sometimes quite busy.
- Krohom Temple - Located atop Kulen Mountain near the popular waterfall, Prasat Kraol Romeas is, as far as I know, Cambodia’s only temple with a river running through it. While most of the temple site is on the eastern side of the river, remains of the outer enclosure wall can be found on the western side. The site features an outer laterite enclosure wall containing a small but complex structure built of laterite with sandstone columned windows, doorframes, and pillars. An inscription, K.1006, found nearby is attributed to this site, dating to the 16th century and mentioning a visitor who reconstructed statues in the area. A statue of Avalokiteshvara (Lokeshvara) was also found here.
- Phnom Kulen Waterfall - Most visitors come to swim in the river that forms the Kulen Waterfall. There are two waterfalls here. The first is around 25 meters wide and 5 meters tall. The second is about 15 meters tall and 15 meters wide. The sizes of the waterfalls change depending on the season, with much more water during the rainy season, but it’s still worth visiting in the dry season.
