Highlights
 • Seakayak Krabi - Start this private tour with an afternoon pickup from your hotel and drive 25 minutes to Ao Thalane, home to the most magnificent mangroves in Thailand.

Spend an afternoon paddling in the cool shade of the untouched Ao Thalane canyons. These towering cliffs protect the endangered mangrove environment at the coast. You will explore various coves and lagoons. Kayak slowly and silently upon sturdy “sit-on-top” kayaks that move almost unnoticed through the coastal ecosystem, passing mangrove, canyons and lagoons.

If you have never kayaked before, don’t worry. Instruction is given at the beginning of the trip and the routes followed are relatively easy. The exercise is not really strenuous and even young kids enjoy it. Everyone has a life jacket on at all times. Kayaks are 3 seat kayaks. We use them as 2 seat kayaks, but if you have a child with you, then they can sit in the 3rd seat in the middle.

If you are lucky, you can see wild monkeys, in particular the crab-eating macaque, and other wildlife such as monitor lizards and several species of birds. During the trip your personal guide will tell you more about the local people and their way of life.

The next destination will be Laem Chamuk Khwai, a small beach where you will have time for a swim and relax while admiring the amazing sunset over the Andaman Sea. After all that action, feast on a delicious BBQ dinner at your very own beach as the sun goes down over the island-dotted horizon. Then head back to Thalane Pier by longtail boat under a warm blanket before being transferred back to your hotel.

This trip is perfect for peacefully paddling the mangrove forest seeing plenty of wildlife and exploring limestone caves, canyons and lagoons without the crowds.

Perfect trip - I loved this. One of my favourite trips to krabi. Everything was perfect the kayaking, the sunset, smooth feeling on the water. Limestone caves. This is a gentle experience. Anyone can do it. I was solo on this trip and was worried I'd get put with someone i didn't know, as they are two person kayakes. But no I didn't have to worry. I had my own one. Although I have some experience... it's not necessary. Great bbq for after.

This was my favourite trip, it was... -
This was my favourite trip, it was really special. There were only three of us which was nice and no sunset but it didn't matter. It was so peaceful and Chy took us to the estuary beach where we fed fruit to the wild monkeys. If you do the daytime trip you don't have this opportunity because of the tides. They also cooked up some really amazing food for us.We got very wet but the truck drive was a great view of the countryside too. Do it!

The vehicle that collected us was... -
The vehicle that collected us was very uncomfortable - 12 of us in the back of a pick up for an hour! Other than that the trip was excellent. The equipment was in good condition, the guide was knowledgeable and funny, the scenery was stunning. It would be suitable for pretty much all abilities and the trip is at a leisurely pace. The BBQ at the end was fresh, delicious and plentiful.

The whole experience was absolutely... -
The whole experience was absolutely awful. We began the sunset kayaking trip later than originally stated in the booking so it was already beginning to get dark. During the kayaking trip, we got hit by a terrible storm, which was terrifying and the guide was overwhelmed as he had 8 people to get back to safety. Initially when the rain started, we saw other groups head back to the pier but our guide continued on. This was flagrant disregard for out safety. Our group kept getting separated, there was little to no visibility due to the storm and the kayaks kept getting stuck because of the low tide The guide was giving poor instructions on which direction to proceed and was yelling incomprehensible directions. It was truly the worst experience from my whole time in Thailand.
