  The dhow will anchored at historical Telegraph Island repeat station built in 1864 by the British to connect Bombay (India) with mainland Britain by an underwater and overland telegraphic cable passing via Basra in Iraq and Turkey. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling at the Telegraph Island in the pristine and calm waters of the fjord. Lunch and refreshments are served on board. Snorkeling equipment and towels will be provided on the dhow.

The region’s breathtaking fjords have earned it the sobriquet, ‘The Norway of Arabia.’ Predominantly inhabited by the Shihuh people, who are likely the native inhabitants of the northern parts of Oman, the region’s main activities revolve around fishing and herding. The peninsula’s main economic activity is fishing, with processing facilities available at al-Khasab and Bay’ah. Because of the challenging terrain, most movement in the region takes place by sea. Musandam - Khasab is advantageously positioned near the United Arab Emirates, which allows easy roadway access for guests from the United Arab Emirates. The uniqueness of Musandam - Khasab is enhanced by its extraordinary fjords, the sight of natural dolphins, coastal vistas, its tallest mountain, historic Telegraph & Seebi Island, and Bedouin settlements nestled in the fjords and on mountain slopes.
