Short, informative, and fun - Khiva is great, but it can get repetitive walking around and looking at buildings. This short and sweet class was a great way to do something hands-on. I learned all about making bread and got to stamp some of my own. I took the class at a restaurant, and it was cool to see some of the bread I helped make being served to customers. A fun cultural experience

15-minute ‘masterclass’ - The ‘masterclass’ took in total 15 minutes. After entering the restaurant, you will be seated at a restaurant table close to the kitchen door. A served will place a bowl with flour, yeast and salt on the table. A lady from the kitchen then appears, asks you to knead, and after 5 minutes, return with rested though she prepared earlier. The server translates for the lady through Google Translate, and speaks poor English himself. After punching some motives in the dough with the stamp, you take it to the outside oven. After a minute, it is baked and to be enjoyed with jam and a cup of tea. This all costs €15 euro’s, which corresponds to a night’s stay at a hotel, or a more than decent meal for two. I would not recommend this masterclass, as it feels just an way for a restaurant to make easy money.

Quite disappointing - Extremely overpriced for what we got. Would have loved some explanation on the bread or history of the bread or anything really and didn’t get anything other than expensive bread.
