On top - A superb experience of Khmer cooking classes to do absolutely without any hesitation. Very well organized the tuktuk pick you up from your hotel then visit the market with Narong.
Return to the restaurant for the choice of starter, main course and dessert ( 3 possible choices) and after 2h00 of cooking very well explained at each step, perfect explanations and comes the result and tasting. Thanks to Narong for his professionalism.

A really lovely experience - A really lovely experience. I was the only person who had booked for the evening so I unexpectedly had a private class! I had a lovely instructor (Narong) who helped me choose which menu items to make and then took me around the Old Market, showing me what kinds of rice and noodles they have, and what fresh kefir limes and tamarind look like. Back at the kitchen, we made from scratch a Cambodian spice paste which is the cornerstone of much of their cuisine, and Nargong explained to me how I could adapt the recipe for Nom Bahn Chok and other dishes as well as the Amok Fish we were making that evening. We also made veggie spring rolls and flambé-ed bananas with passion fruit - all very delicious! I wouldn’t have minded some slightly more challenging/unique recipes but Narong made up for it by answering all my questions and helping me understand how I could make other food I had already tried. And it all came to just $19! I would highly recommend!

Khmer Cooking Adventure - We booked this last minute as the restaurant we chose said they would take walk-ins but didn't end up accepting us when we arrived. We were initially unsure about Khmer Gourmet as we didn't know where it Siem Reap it would be held. We took a chance and it did not disappoint! It turned out so much better that our first option as we got to make more dishes for a similar price.
We were picked up via tuk tuk from our hotel and brought to the site of Crep'Italy for our cooking class, located in Pub Street area. Narong, our chef had a kind and gentle spirit. You could see that she loved what she did. When we arrived we chose our starter, main and dessert- we could choose different ones. Then she took us around the market and introduced us to the local produce. When we got upstairs to the kitchen, the area was clean and ingredients were prepped. We were given aprons and chef hats. Narong was a great teacher, modelling what to do and explaining the ingredients and method. We had a blast making fresh and fried spring rolls, chicken amok, beef lok lak, banana flambe and mango sticky rice. It was so much food that we could not finish it. We were presented with a personalised certificate at the end with a link to the recipes. I highly recommend this cooking class. Just watch out for the stairs as it is a little steep!

An authentic cooking experience. - My husband and I were collected from our accommodation and taken to the cooking class which was near Central Market. We had to make our own way back once we had finished. The market tour was very interesting and our teacher, Som Ann, was very informative. We then had lots of fun cooking, and later eating, the delicious food we’d made.
Som Ann provided excellent tuition when teaching the both of us during the lesson. We cooked 3 meals each and liked the fact that we could each choose different recipes from the options available. The ingredients had already been sourced and were very fresh. Everything was extremely well organised and clean. Some of the food preparation had already been done (chicken chopped etc.) but there was still plenty for us to do. It was nice to then be able to savour the dishes we’d made in the restaurant, leisurely. Drinks were available during both the class and afterwards for an additional cost.
Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon, Som Ann and Khmer Gourmet Cooking Class, and for making it a memorable experience of our time in Siem Reap.

Great experience with delicious food - Very well organised cooking class situated in a small restaurant in the heart of Siam Reap. Food was delicious and you need to be hungry. Our teacher Som Ann (Sam) was very helpful and had a great sense of humour.
Not a negative as I can’t remember if this was made clear when I booked but you are collected from your hotel but not returned. Transport is so cheap it really doesn’t matter.

Fantastic experience - The cooking course allowed us to discover the different spices and aromatics used in Khmer cooking.
We very much enjoyed the tour to the market before we started cooking to familiarize ourselves with the ingredients.
The little bonus of the restaurant, we were able to enjoy a good Belgian beer thanks to the boss, Philippe, who has a very diverse menu both in drink and Belgian dishes.
Thank you for this fabulous time we spent with the whole team.

Kind people, efficient process, and lots of fun. - Kind, efficient, and fun. And it was delicious! The whole experience from grocery to eating was well planned. All 3 of us chose our own dishes to make. Super friendly, super fun. I had low expectations, and it ended up being on of the highlights of our Cambodia trip.

Wish I chose a different class - The visit to the market was interesting and the class was good. My guide spoke very good English and the food was great. However, as soon as the class was over, I was informed that a the trip back to the hotel was not included in the price. That is completely fine, and I was offered the option to find a ride myself or the guide would order a tuk tuk, which I chose. A few minutes later when I inquired about my ride, I was made to feel like a nuisance. Like she couldn't understand why I couldn't just get my own ride, when I reminded her of our conversation and her offering to order a tuk tuk, she relented and finally did it. While I waited I was made to feel very uncomfortable. As a solo female traveler, I believe women should support one another, not be made to feel less than. There are many other cooking classes to choose from, I wish I would have chosen differently.
