Khudi - The journey into the hills begins on a winding road alongside the Trishuli River. Along the way, travelers can enjoy terraced farms and charming cottages. Upon reaching a junction at Mugling, the route continues straight towards Pokhara. At Dumre, the path diverges north to Besisahar. A thirty-minute drive from Besisahar leads to Khudi, the starting point of the trek. Alternatively, one can disembark at Besisahar and trek for an hour to reach Khudi along a wide trail. Khudi offers the first glimpse of the stunning Manaslu range.
Khudi to Sirung (2200m/7216 ft): 6 - 7 hours
Khudi - The first day’s trek involves crossing several suspension bridges and waterfalls, with some ascents and descents across rice paddies and subtropical forests. Initially, the walk is gentle but is followed by steeper trails. The mountains visible from Khudi appear much closer now. Before reaching Sirung village, trekkers pass through the ethnic Tamang settlement of Taranche. Close-up views of Nadi Chuli and Manaslu mountains can be admired from Sirung.

Further ascent leads to a sharp-edged cliff facing the riverbank. Along the way, Chyamje appears amidst the magnificent backdrop of the towering Annapurna mountain ranges. After crossing a suspension bridge, the trail climbs steeply towards the challenging path to Sattale. Following a series of rocky trails, the path descends to a verdant riverbank leading to Tal. Manang: Acclimatization day
Manang - To stay fit for the trails ahead, the day is kept busy with a short hike to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. If energy permits, a hike to Vraga Village is possible, where the Himalayan Rescue Association provides insights into Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Overnight in Manang.
