Lake Mutanda - Lake Mutanda is a small freshwater lake located in the far southwest of Uganda, near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. It is drained by the Rutshuru River, which flows northward to Lake Edward.
Lake Mutanda is a 30-minute drive from the center of Kisoro.
At an altitude of 1,800m, it is an excellent place for hiking and offers breathtaking views of The Virunga Mountains.
Gorilla Trekking within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast in the morning, you’ll check in at the Park’s Headquarters for legal formalities before the trekking adventure begins. Bwindi is home to more than half of the world’s population of Mountain Gorillas, with over 300 gorillas residing here.
Depending on your physical fitness, we will arrange for you to track Gorillas via a suitable hike.
Once you encounter them, you’ll have the opportunity to spend an hour or more with these endangered creatures, learning about their lifestyle.
After the trek, our driver guide will take you back to Kigali.
