Kigali - Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, a guide representative will warmly welcome and transfer you for a city tour, provided you arrive on time. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and Kigali Market before proceeding to Volcanoes National Park.

Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Volcanoes National Park - After an early breakfast, you will be taken to the renowned Volcanoes National Park for a briefing before entering the forest to search for the bamboo-associated primates. This experience is often considered the next best thing after gorilla trekking. You will have one hour to spend with these beautiful Albertine Rift endemics. Following this activity, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in preparation for gorilla trekking. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Kalinzu Central Forest Reserve

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to learn about your adventure with the Mountain Gorillas. It is recommended to carry sufficient drinking water and a lunch box. For a fee of 15 US dollars, you can hire a porter to carry your bag and assist you in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you will be divided into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest, where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. Rain gear is essential as Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. An optional community visit is possible depending on your return time from tracking. After tracking, you will be transferred to Rubirizi near Kalinzu Forest in preparation for chimpanzee trekking the next day. Dinner and overnight stay.

Chimp Trekking in Kalinzu Forest and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Kalinzu Central Forest Reserve - After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kalinzu Forest, managed by the Uganda National Forest Authority, for chimpanzee tracking. In addition to the appropriate forest gear, remember to bring enough drinking water. After a briefing, you will enter the forest, and upon finding the chimpanzees, you will have one hour with them. After the activity, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, where you can swim in Uganda’s most beautiful lake or take a canoe to enjoy nature and explore surrounding communities.

Transfer to Kigali International Airport

Kigali - After your delightful stay at Lake Bunyonyi, you will drive back to Kigali International Airport to catch your flight.
