Pick Up - Transfer to Akagera National Park

Kigali - You will be picked by our professional guide at 8am from your hotel or place of residence to Akagera. After park registration, you will head for a short game drive and later a sunset boat cruise at 4:00pm on Lake Ihema, in search for water animals like Nile crocodiles, hippos and numerous bird species.

Full Day Game Drive & End of the trip

Akagera National Park - Today you will head off at 6.30am with your packed lunch for a full day game drive in search for the early risers, such as the zebras, impalas, hippos, giraffes to mention but a few that you might have missed yesterday. The drive will be from the southern to the northern end of the park with drop off at a place of your convenience at the end of the trip.

On our two-day safari, you’ll experience stunning landscapes and encounter majestic wildlife such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, and elephants, along with a variety of bird species and antelopes.

You’ll be picked up from any location in Kigali and driven to Akagera National Park, situated in the eastern part of the country near the Tanzanian border.

After checking in for lunch at your hotel, you’ll embark on a wildlife search followed by an evening boat cruise on Lake Ihema.

Later, you’ll enjoy a brief evening game drive en route to your accommodation at Akagera Game Lodge.
