Volcanoes National Park - Private transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

This morning, the driver will meet the guests at their hotel and transport them to Volcanoes National Park.

The journey covers approximately 106 km and will take between 2 to 3 hours.

Today, guests will venture into the forest to track the endangered Golden Monkey species. Spend an hour observing the monkey families as they play in the forest! This is a fantastic wildlife experience, as the proceeds from tourist visits contribute to research aimed at protecting this species and preserving their habitat to prevent extinction.

This rare species is classified as endangered, and there are currently two troops of monkeys, each with around 80 members, that have been accustomed to tourist visits in the park. Guests will trek to find the golden monkeys in a manner similar to the gorilla trek, in a small group of no more than six people, spending one hour with the monkeys once they are located.

Musanze District - The start is a 15-minute transfer from central Musanze (add about 15 minutes from Kinigi). Here, the activity leader will provide a briefing on the riverside before guests get on the water. The first section offers a flat and easy opportunity to learn how to steer the canoe while floating gently downstream. After about 20-30 minutes, there will be a short additional briefing about the small rapid, where helmets are required. As the journey continues deep into the countryside, guests are surrounded by the sights and sounds of rural Rwanda.

Volcanoes National Park - Upon arrival, everyone will be divided into groups of up to 8 people, possibly joined by other tourists, before being assigned a ranger. Guests will then drive a short distance to the trailhead, from where they will trek in the forest for approximately 1-3 hours to meet the gorillas. The hour spent with these magnificent primates is a truly unforgettable experience. Please note that gorilla permits will incur additional costs depending on nationality.
