- Kigali - Pick up: At 4:30 AM, the tour guide will arrive at your residence to pick you up.
Transfer to Nyungwe: This is a 4-hour and 30-minute drive. A long and rewarding road trip awaits you. Enjoy the scenic views of the Land of a Thousand Hills! There will be planned stopovers en route, but if you spot a beautiful location where you’d like to take a picture, feel free to ask the driver-guide to stop for a photoshoot. Don’t worry if you missed breakfast; we will stop by a nice coffee shop to grab something to eat.
As we drive through the forest, you will be greeted by adorable primates crossing the road and jumping in the trees. Among them are chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and cute squirrels.

The hike takes 2 to 3 hours. The amazing canopy walk takes you across a hanging platform that spans over the tall and majestic trees of Nyungwe. The platform is built 50 meters above the ground and is 200 meters long. You will have an aerial view of the forest, allowing you to spot birds and more primates feeding on top of the trees or jumping from one tree to another.
