Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Volcanoes National Park - After an early breakfast, you will be transported to the renowned Volcanoes National Park for a briefing before entering the forest to search for the bamboo-associated primates. This experience is often considered the next best thing after gorilla trekking. You will have one hour to spend with these stunning Albertine Rift endemics. Following this activity, you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in preparation for gorilla trekking. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After an early breakfast, you will head to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to learn about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. It is recommended to bring sufficient drinking water and a lunch box. For US 20, you can hire a porter to carry your bag and assist you in slippery or steep areas of the forest. After the briefing, you will be divided into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest, where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. Rain gear is essential as Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After tracking, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s most beautiful lake. Here, you can choose to swim in the second deepest lake in Africa or explore the surrounding communities on foot.
Lake Bunyonyi - After gorilla trekking, you will visit Lake Bunyonyi for canoeing or swimming.
